FC: Our Wedding Bradley & Nancy July 23, 2011

The Gates | 6945 Roblin Boulevard Winnipeg, Manitoba

Cierra and Nancy were up and ready to go in the morning. Time for the girls to get ready for the special day! | First it was off to Stonewall to get our hair done.

Back at Cindy's, after leaving Stonewall without picking up the flowers, we were ready for make-up. Lauren came to make me beautiful and she did a wonderful job. I felt gorgeous and couldn't wait for Brad to see me.

I couldn't wait to get into my dress. After months of waiting it was finally ready to wear. And underneath my dress, I wore a brooch of my Baba's.

Pictures started outside at Cindy's. The rain was holding off and the weather looked promising.

The Gift of Life I didn't give you the gift of life, But in my heart I know. The love I feel is deep and real, As if it had been so. For us to have each other, Is like a dream come true. No, I didn't give you the gift of life, Life gave me the gift of you.

On our way to the wedding. We just couldn't help but stop for some pictures in the beautiful fields.

It started raining right before I got to The Gates. We moved the ceremony inside but that didn't matter. Either way I was going to marry Brad that day.

Downstairs, everyone was visiting and waiting for the ceremony to start. And in the entrance to our room, we had our Angels there watching over us, in a picture on their wedding day.

I think I was quite calm for the first while. I was really busy hair spraying my hair. We stayed in the Bridal Room upstairs where I would wait until coming down the stairs where my dad would be waiting for me. When the music started, Cierra led the way with a shy little smile on her face.

 Waiting....

 Almost Time...

I knew Brad was going to look handsome. I couldn't keep the smile off my face once I saw him.

And even though Brody wasn't feeling good that day.... | .....he was a trooper, and was absolutely adorable.

You always want to remember your whole wedding day, but as the months go by, you remember less and less. Thankfully there are those few special memories that will always stay with you. And Brody laying at our feet during our vows is one of them.

There's a few things I was certain I wanted for my wedding, and my dad walking me down the aisle was one of them.

Our vows were short and sweet and said all the right things. Perfect.

Today I will marry my best friend, The one I will live with, dream with and love. I take you to be my husband, From this day forward I will cherish you. I will look with joy down the path of our tomorrow’s Knowing we will walk it together, side by side, Hand in hand, and heart to heart. I give you this ring, this day, before family, With joy in my heart, I pledge myself to you as your wife, Promising to love you, to cherish our moments together for now and forever. May you love deeply, laugh heartily, Practice patience, and smile often. May you dream together, grow, be crazy, Give, give in, and trust to take. May you see many sunrises, listen to the rain, savor special moments, May you rediscover each other, Listen carefully and always have open hearts.

With all the excitement of the day, I somehow forgot to get our marriage license to our officiant. Although it made our ceremony very short, it did give us a few minutes of quiet before we started pictures. Thank-you Kelsey and Cindy for being there for us.

So thankful to have included our aunties and uncles on this special day. And what a blessing to have my Baba there to watch me get married. They helped make our day extra special.

 Baba

 The 5 of Us

Thank you Mom for my Special Day After the wedding when our loved ones have gone, and the fragrance of flowers has lingered til dawn. When the last piece of cake at the table is cut, the lights have all dimmed and the doors have been shut. When everything is quiet our memories made, and each flower petal is starting to fade. It's then in that moment my thoughts will be free, to think of how special you've made this for me. After the wedding and all the years through, this day will be special because of you. Thank You Mom for Everything.

"Always my sister. Always my friend."

"Being a brother is better than being a superhero."
