The Woodland Indians came here 3,000 years ago. They are good farmers. They still hunted and gathered. They settled and were less nomadic. Depending on where they lived they had different talents.
The Iroquoian,Siouan,Algonquianwere all Ares that had a similar language through the tribe. These just were in the VA. They lived in specific regions some were spread out.
Indians manage the reservations, which are bits of land given to them. There are 310 reservations in the states. They might seem like paradise but they are very small.
When the us army came they forced out the Indians. Before and after they lived in villages and ate the seven sisters (which are corn beans and squash.).
The Indians were given land called reserves. They were told that they could control it but it wasn't true only a little true. Well we are not talking about the us army. So back to the reserve there are 310 of them. To bad they are small. They do industries in them like a Shad fish hatchery.
