2: is for baby... and we just found out that there's one on the way! We were so excited, and could hardly wait to tell our families! | Lots of exciting preparation in those months before you were born... switching bedrooms and making our old room a nursery... pouring over name books... shopping... birthing classes! We also spent six weeks in Elnora, IN helping with cooking & maintenance for Elnora Bible School. I was glad that those weeks went by quickly. When we came home there were only five more weeks to go until your due date! | 4 months | 5 months

4: Baby Shower! | Our House Fellowship planned a church shower.
5: Games, gifts, more gifts, and a lovely snack... a fun evening, and felt so blessed by all we received! | Cake made by Grandma Eby
6: The big day is here! I was a week overdue, and it felt like you would never arrive! After a 41 week ultrasound that showed low fluid levels and a grade 3 placenta, my midwife felt that I should be induced. I got a call the next morning, on Friday, May 15th, telling me to come in... I was very excited and a little bit nervous! I called Daddy at work and told him to come home. We got to the hospital at about 12:30, my induction was started at around 2:00, and about four hours later you were born!
7: Karalyn Jewel Eby 6 lb, 5.8 oz 19 1/2 in. | What a wonder to see and hold you for the first time... you were a tiny bundle of absolute perfection. Soon after you were born, Daddy went out to the waiting room to let the waiting Grandparents, and some of your aunts & uncles, know that you had arrived!

24: COLORADO! when you were just 6 weeks old, the Beachy family all traveled to CO in a 15-passenger van to visit Aunt Jo. You were again a great traveler. We had such a fun week together! | We visited Pikes Peak one day. Another day we ate breakfast out and did some small-town shopping. | We all stayed together at a cabin. What fun we had! Vince, at that time Jo's boyfriend, was along.
25: Opa feeding baby Madi, the little girl Jo was caring for. She is just a couple weeks older than you! | On our last evening together we went to a rodeo... you giggled for the first time, in your carseat on the way there! | All the little girlies: You, Haylee, Madi, Allison. | Vince & Jo with Madi & you | You wore uncle Derrick's little baby shirt & boots for the rodeo! | Aunt Jo was so glad to see her nieces and loved on you all every chance she got!

40: When you were 9 months old, we spent 6 weeks in Elnora , IN for 2nd term at Elnora Bible Institute. Daddy & Mommy had maintenance, janitor,, and secretary responsibilities....you did great after a rough first several nights... you enjoyed a lot of attention from the students. | Your favorite thing to do at the school was get rides in your walker from other staff kids | Easter basket from Opa & Oma when they came to visit one weekend! | At the end of term, you spent nearly a week with Opa's (and some time at Grandpa's) while Daddy & Mommy went on chior tour with the students.. You did really well, but my... we missed you!

45: ...happy birthday to you! | We held your birthday party at Pastime Park just down the road from our house! It was a beautiful evening, and lots of fun to celebrate you with family! Daddy made and grilled burgers... Mommy made butterfly cupcakes for your butterfly-themed party. | We're so thankful God gave us you!
