FC: African American slave trade 1666- 1800

1: Between 1666 and 1800 millions of men, women and children were snatched from their homes in Africa, and transported in slave ships across the Atlantic ocean. The actual number will never be know, but there is no doubt that the number ran well into the millions.

2: In order to make more profit, the slaves were often packed as tightly as possible. The slaves were chained ankle to wrist, with barely any place to move.

3: once they reached their destination the slaves were treated harshly and often beaten.
