3: Energy and Environment: Galifianakis and Olson believe that more land needs to be conserved for honoring hunting and the fishing heritage. It is essential for the habitats where wildlife flourishes to be restored and conserved. There is no necessity to choose between economy and environment. New development of renewable energy will boom like never before. Our air will be cleaner and our water supply will be more pure. More efficient vehicles must be created in order to have less pollution floating around us. | Crime and Punishment: When people are arrested for drug use or drug possession, it should be mandatory for prisoners to get clean. More gangs must be under surveillance, which will help put more drug dealers away. Community police need to become tougher with their normal rounds. Additional police forces should become a priority.
4: The Economy Zach Galifianakis believes that there should be a tax cut for the working class and middle class families. The wealthy should not be getting the same amount of tax cuts as those two classes. He wishes to have a 10% tax cut for them in his term. Many houses are sitting vacant because the way things are currently. There needs to be more affordable housing. Home ownership is something to be encouraged amongst people. Buying a house is a great investment, so it needs to be more reasonable for people. Many single mothers have low income jobs. Everyone who has a low salary job are struggling to support their families. When families don't have much money they are forced to live in depraved neighborhoods. That usually means that the families get less education than most. In saying that, the rights of the the low income workers need to be protected.
5: Education Going back to low income families, college tuition needs to be more inexpensive. It also should be a tax deductible. Galifianakis and Olson think that the class sizes of most schools are too big and need to be reduced. When there are smaller classes, the teachers can get more one-on-one time with their students. Facilities need to be more contemporary. A lot of the school buildings that are around are very dated and not well taken care. They need to have more maintenance. If the building does not necessarily need to be rebuilt, improvements can and will be made. | Government Reforms The retirement age should not get any higher. People have been receiving social security at the same age for many years. The citizens who are about to reach that age shouldn't have to wait any longer. Health insurance is one of the biggest problems in America right now. Most citizens can not afford it and because of that they are suffering. Every single American should be able to receive coverage at an affordable cost.
