S: Grandma Molling

FC: Molling Family

1: Grandmother : (noun) meaning the mother of a mother or father. This is the definition of the word grandmother, but when asked to make this photo book for my grandmother I thought of what that word means to me. Ever since I was little and could remember spending the night at Grandma Molling's house was more than just a nights stay, but an adventure. She was a mother, cook, care taker, friend, story teller, but most of all someone who made you feel safe when you were away from home. Whether it be sitting in her living room roasting marshmallows over the fire, or having a picnic in Uncle Dave's room there was never a dull moment with her. Elissa Molling not only told the most imaginative stories, but she left a lasting impression that I hope one day I can share with children of my own. When people ask who my personal hero is there is a simple answer "my Grandma Molling," she is such an inspiration to me. Every time I talk to her or listen to her advice I leave feeling like all my problems are solved and there is nothing more to worry about. People come in and out of your life, but there are few who leave you feeling whole and never really gone at all. I hope that every time my Grandma Molling looks at this book she knows that she has left that feeling on each one of us. Thank you Grandma for being a mother/grandmother to us all I know every single one of us couldn't say it enough. Love Your Granddaughter, Michell Alyse Tidwell

6: I have many wonderful memories of mom and dad that and it is hard for me to only select one, so I have decided to list them in a type of timeline to share the ones that stick out in my mind the very most. The first memory is when I was around 8 years old and mom you were dancing with dad at a party with Johnny’s family and everyone was laughing and smiling. Mom looked so happy and she was beautiful just like the queen of a ball. I remember looking up at my parents seeing how happy and joyous they were and it made me feel extremely happy inside and boy could dad cut a rug he was an amazing dancer. I loved to watch them brace each other and enjoyed see them both have such happiness in their eyes, which made me a happy boy. Another memory is when dad and mom were so proud of the 3 boys becoming eagle scouts and each of us had a party with a cake on our special day. Mom and Dad we very happy also when each time we were adding another baby to our family and mom had a glow about her like she was fulfilling her destiny and it always brought joy to her face and in her arms. Mom and dad said they always loved holding their bundles of joy! Mom you are our matriarch and eternal shammos (eternal flame). You are truly our heritage that I am proud of. You are my strength and at many times in my life you have been my salvation. I have been blessed by your spirituality and your wonderful love of our savor. You are our marvelous guiding light that which you have strengthen with your eyes single to his glory. Mom I could have not had come this far without your love, embrace, warmth, and unconditional love. I pray that you may be proud of me as I only try to elevate your love and share your beautiful testimonies of the gospel of our savor Jesus Christ. I love you mom anee-ohayv-otakh xoxoxoxox! 13: My favorite memory of Elissa happened during a trip to Moab around 2003. It was brutally hot and we decided to travel out in the desert to see some landmark. The heat was unbearable and Vincent was about 1 year old and didn’t want to be in his car seat at all. We were looking at the map and there was a dotted gray line labeled “one way trail jeep access only”.. We were driving our Landcruiser and Dennis was driving a large Dodge 4 wheel drive truck so we decided to back to town that way. Out across the desert we go and the trail we are following ends at the side of a wall of rock. When you look at the rock you can see the black tire marks where the climbing jeeps have crawled up the side. Elissa’s comment was priceless when she said “ Well that didn’t work out we will just have to turn back” I just smiled and locked in the front and rear differentials. This wall of rock was so steep that all you could see was blue sky through the windshield. That was then the praying started and Nadine was telling me I would never be forgiven. Two hours of the greatest 4 wheel drive climbing ever. Several times we literally had the front left tire 6 feet off the ground and would slowly move until the front tire cane down to the ground and the rear tire would be 6 feet off the ground. The Landcruiser smoked the Dodge truck in the off-road arena. It was a great day. -Todd Veibell | Nadine , Todd & Family

14: When asked about my favorite memory of my mother it is so hard because I have a so many wonderful memories of her! If I had to choose just one that sticks out in my mind, it would have to been when I went to see her in Australia. I remember how happy and proud I was of her when she was on her mission. It was a very long 18 months without her. I can remember clearly when we landed in Melbourne and I got off the plane and I was overjoyed to see my mother's sweet face once again. I wanted to run all the way down to the baggage claim so I could wrap my arms around her. When I saw her standing there waiting for us in her long wool coat I hugged her and didn't want to let go. I never knew that I could miss her so very much. Mom you are one amazing women and I love you more than life itself. You mean the world to me and you have made me the beautiful women I am today because of your example and love. You have taught me so much and I am blessed & honored to call you my mother. I am so thankful to be your daughter and know how lucky I am. Thank you for always being there with open arms and love. You are truly my prize possession and I love you with all of my heart! Love your daughter, Mel

17: You have always been a great example and taught us to always put others 1st and you have instilled in me that family is the most important thing in life and it should always come first. What a wonderful feeling it is to know that through life's challenges that my mother is always by my side through thick and thin no matter what the circumstance may be. Knowing that with you my side I am never alone and it the greatest joy in my life. Mom, I want you to know that you have taught many, many, great things without ever having to say a word. My hope is that I can make you proud of being the man you taught me to be. With love and the outmost admiration you son, Mike | Mike

18: There are so many memories with Mom to be that specific. We have traveled everywhere together from running the Great Wall of China to the black beaches & swimming with the sharks of Moorea & Tahiti, from the Wailing Wall of Israel to the Markets of Marrakech in Morocco. Each experience with mom has always been one in its own. Even in work we played as if on a free paid vacation. We would ask to be sent to places nobody wanted to work just for our own new adventure. Of all the times working with Mom one time stands out the most. We were working for the yellow pages up in SLC which was a very hard area since it was a new book there. We had gone to an appointment together and she went in while I waited making calls in the car. All of the sudden mom comes out gets in the car and says," Go, Go, Go, before he comes out and changes his mind." It was as if she had just robbed a bank. While we were leaving we looked at each other and started laughing uncontrollably. I told her I felt like Bonny and Clyde. We still joke about that time to this day. I Love you Mom! Thanks for always being my best & most amazing friend! Love David
