2: 1599 -Globe theater opens | 1611 -First performance of Macbeth at the globe theater

3: 1642 -Government overthrown and playhouses shut down. | 1660 -King Charles II comes to power and restores playhouses -William Davenant creates "operatic Macbeth"

4: Late 1600s | -Giuseppe Verdi introduces a new version of Macbeth.

5: Mid 1700s | -David Garrick brings original play back to the stage. -Sarah Siddons is lady Macbeth -Victorian representations are popular -Henry Irving's production

6: Early 1900s | -Orson Welles and "Voodoo Macbeth" Lauren Oliver as Macbeth (1955) -Glen Byan Shaw as director

7: Late 1900s | - Akira Kurosawas film "Throne of Blood" -Director Roman Polanski creates film of Macbeth

8: The Curse Of Macbeth | 1604 -in order to please King James Shakespeare uses black magic ritual in play -People did not like this public display of witchcraft. -As punishment play is thought to be cursed.

9: -1606-original actor of lady macbeth gets sick and dies. -1849- 31 people trampled to death. -1934-fist actor mute, replacement hospitalized. | -1672- real dagger replaces fake one and kills Duncan on stage. -1937-man suffers from heart attack.

10: -1942- 3 actors die and 2 crew members commit suicide. -1953-actor suffers severe burns. -1970- 2 fires and 7 robberies. -1981- Macduff mugged after opening
