BC: The End

FC: Tojo: Wall of Shame | I'm a terrible person.

Tojo started out is military career very shaky. He was 42nd out of 50 cadets in rankings. After some time he started getting better and moving up in rankings. He eventually became Prime Minister of Japan. He authorized the attack on Pearl Harbor. The attack was unexpected from the U.S. standpoint. This made Japan look strong and more citizens supported Tojo.

He was so high in popularity it seemed like nothing could go wrong. However he was slowly getting in trouble with the Japanese government. He broke the Geneva Convention which was the reason he was in trouble. The Geneva convention was a treaty that protected anyone not fighting in the war.

He slowly fell after he lost the Battle of Midway and his days in power were limited. In July 1944, Tojo finally resigned. He had very few supporters left in tact because all of his mistakes. | Tojo

After the U.S. showed signs of retaliating against Japan for Tojo's careless mistakes, he lost all of his supporters. No one like Tojo anymore and the U.S. bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. | Tojo's carelessness showed

Tojo was a bad Prime Minister for many reasons. He was the cause of Japan getting bombed and he was very careless which is showed in the last page. This is why he is in the wall of shame.

Tojo was an easy target for propaganda because he had buck teeth and weird glasses. They made fun of him for this and used his carelessness to make some pretty funny posters.

Tojo was arrested after the war along with 40 other criminals. He tried committing suicide by shooting himself four times. He failed and missed his heart and other vital arteries. That is some pretty bad aim...

Tojo's long overdue death happened on December 23, 1948. He was hanged which sounds harsh, but you have to think of the millions of defenseless citizens he killed during his rule as Prime Minister. Tojo deserved it and i think he should have gotten an even worse punishment.

Tojo would definitely be on the wall of shame!! If you don't agree with that you're crazy. He killed innocent people not to mention millions of them. Then he is about to get arrested so he tries to kill himself and fails at that. He just failed at everything and that is why no one likes him.
