1: Through Their Eyes | *Many people viewed their world with not knowing how the future will become and everyone wanting more ways to communicate and a way to transport things. | *Everyone wanted new ways of living so many tried brand new ways to do those things. | * People needed farming skills and some people needed skills for working at industries.
2: * Many people viewed the steamboat as a great way to transport things, communicate amongst each other and trade more efficiently.
4: Cause And Effect | *The Steamboat was invented to speed up the process of traveling and bring more goods further out to the United States. | * John Fitch created the first steamboat. Why? To increase trade, communication, and increase transportation. | * People did not support the steamboat because of the expenses, they pollute the air, and they could only travel on water. | *Many stores were effected in a positive way! Farmers were grateful because they could sell their product easier and further out, trade became faster, transportation was faster, and communication between one another was more efficient.
5: Turning Points | * The STEAMBOAT transformed peoples lives because of the easy way to transport goods and products and allowed people to travel easier and quicker. | * | * The steamboat made future choices in the US by allowing citizens to improve travel on water and transport better and easier.
6: Change and Continuity | * It has become more efficient and faster. | * It still transports people and cargo. | * Everyone has benefited from the steamboat in one way or another. People who have benefited are: farmers, merchants, family members, and travelers.
7: Benefits From The Past | * The steamboat is similar to many ships because it carries cargo, people, and are used to communicate. | * Many ships are different then steamboats because they are more efficient in speed and other ships are more earth friendly. | * Many people are creative and were all looking for new ways to live.
