1: Definition- A storm with thunder and lighting that is usually associated with rain.
2: Thunderstorms are formed when moist, unstable air is lifted, which results in condensation and latent heat.
3: There are about 140 deaths per year from thunder-storms! | Lightning is responsible for many fires and deaths when people or things are struck. Flash floods and hail up to the size of softballs also contributes to the amount of damage caused by thunderstorms.
4: If you are caught in a thunderstorm, the best thing to do would be to stay inside a large, enclosed building. If you are in a car, keep the windows rolled up. Avoid electrical; equipment and plumbing. You should stay inside until at least 30 minutes after the last thunder clap.

6: You can predict when a storm is coming because of the clouds. Cumulonimbus clouds usually bring thunder and lightning.
