1: A blizzard is a very cold snowstorm that's winds that can reach up to 45mph. | Definition: | For a blizzard to form, the air needs to be below freezing for it to snow, moisture in the clouds, and warm rising air.
2: In 1999, Blizzards occurred in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio and 73 people were killed. The damages reached up to $500 million. | Blizzards can cause roofs to collapse, problems with the outside structure of buildings, downed power lines, take out of trees, and for heating to give out due to winds and temperature.
