FC: My Changes and Challenges | Jacinta Azzi
My name is Jacinta Azzi Born in Sydney Australia I have visited Lebanon and I have lived in Punchbowl my whole life. I am an Australian with a Lebanese background. I have one brother named Jacob Azzi age nine I talk to my parents a lot and I have many close friends who I trust and tell everything to. I trust my friends and family with many things and enjoy just talking to them about every one of my problems or achievements. | Me
changes and challenges | One of my biggest challenges would have to be moving from primary to high school. It was hard because everyone was bigger than me... sort of. Well I wasn't the big kid anymore like in year six, it was my turn to be the baby again and I really didn't want that! Another was trying to fit in again. When high school started friendships ended, and it was becoming really hard for not only me but many others to find where they belong again. But now all is well I found my place and I am happy and so are many others.
Positive Changes | Of course in the end everything turned out well and we all found our place. And we also learned many new things about friendship and fitting in. I now know that when you have these kinds of problems you never be unkind even though others may be to you. Another positive change was after all these problems I learned to rely on myself. I realized that i cant wait for everything to be done for me I have to step in and solve my problems an my own. So I have become very independent not relying on others but taking matters into my own hands.
Ways to help | I recommend that if you are struggling or find that you need help in any way don't wait for it because it wont just appear. I You have to go out there and ask for it. There are many ways to find help. You can speak to a councilor your teachers, parents and maybe even a close friend. Trust me when I say it really feels much better if you do something about it, it may not go away but it will certainly improve.
Ways to cope | If you are having problems with anything especially with a friend you should try to speak to them about it don't ever go on without letting them know y0ou are sorry. Even though they might not forgive you right away don"t hold a grudge. If you go on everyday without apologizing it will be all you think about, and you will not be able to let go. Even if they do forgive you but don't hang out with you, you may still be upset but you will feel much better knowing that no one is upset with you.
My goals | Well I have many goals but the main ones are to adjust to high school by the end of this term, and to completely settle in to the style of each teacher, and the style of the work taught in high school. For the end of the year I would like to have improved in maths and Arabic and to study a lot more than I do now to prepare for assignments or exams.
Changes I will face | I think I will have to face many challenges in the years to come. but I think the hardest would be changing friends. I know that the time will come when everyone will be ready to move on to someone else. It will not be easy but I know that it is unavoidable. also another challenge I think I will have to face is the build up of school work, as in assignments and homework but as well I know that is something which I cant change.
