BC: Chance made us cousins, choice made us friends.
1: October 1, 2011 Andrea, I am truly blessed to have you in my life. You are my best friend, and are like a sister to me. We have gone through so many things together, both good and bad. We have created memories to last a lifetime, and many of my favorite traditions involve you. As you enter into this next phase of your life, I am so excited to make new memories. Love, Kelly
2: Aunt You are an incredible aunt to both of my kids. They are so lucky to have you in their lives.
3: Branson | We went to the Hard Luck Diner, a Bobby Vinton show, the Osmond brothers show, swimming and many other places. What a fun vacation we had!
4: Colin | Colin loves his "An-wa". You are such a important person to him, and he loves you so much. He is blessed to have you in his life. It is so special that he is part of your big day!
5: Driving the golf cart | What kids wouldn't like driving a golf cart? What a fun time we had taking it for a spin!
6: Easter | Easter is a holiday we have celebrated together. It is always fun to dye Easter eggs, hunt for Easter eggs, and to enjoy a delicious dinner together.
7: Fall day of fun | Fall would not be complete without our fall day of fun!! Our trip to Apple Holler (or other fall-like place), fall baking, sugar cookies and chili cook-off makes for a great day! There is also the Rolling Green Halloween Party that is a fun time! Fall is such a great time of year, and we love enjoying it together!
8: Great Jones County Fair | Lemon shake-ups, caramel corn, BINGO, music shows, "the midway", pork tenderloin, Melinda and Belinda, the list goes on and on... There are so many wonderful memories of the fair!!
9: High School, College, Grad School & Med School Graduations We have been there to celebrate every graduation with one another. We have cheered each other on through all phases of life!
10: Iowa | There have been many wonderful times in Iowa. I have so many memories of things we did in Iowa. We spent time on the boat, did ceramics, went to the fair, celebrated Christmas, and so many other things. Some of my favorite memories of us together took place in Iowa.
11: Jersey Shore | Remember our awesome trip to Long Beach Island? We had so much fun laying on the beach, going parasailing and just spending time together!
12: Kendall Kendall is very lucky to have you as her godmother! Thank you for being such a big part of both hers and Colin's lives.
13: Lake Delhi | Remember going to Lake Delhi to go water-skiing, knee boarding and tubing? Remember Grandpa taking us to Delhi after dinner and driving the boat? Remember the random cows in Lake Delhi? It was a great place to learn how to do all kinds of water sports!
14: Christmas in Monticello | Christmas is our favorite holiday spent as a family. Our special chairs where we always opened our gifts, playing with our toys, fashion shows, makeovers, cookies, candy, pies, prime rib, the list goes on and on... So many great Christmas memories!
15: New York City | We went to New York City a few different times when I came to visit you and your family in New Jersey. Remember going to see the Rockettes, the Statue of Liberty, going to Soho, Little Italy, FAO Schwartz? It was fun exploring the Big Apple with you!
16: Ohio | I always had fun visiting you in Ohio. There were also a few summers when I got to spend a week in Ohio with you. We spent lots of time riding bikes, swimming, playing and just having fun together.
17: Pool Tournament | A favorite Christmas activity we have done together is play in our annual pool tournament. What fun we had playing this game with all three generations!
18: Quiet in Church | Being quiet in church (especially on Christmas) was something Grandma and our parents always wanted, but always seemed like an impossible task. It was always funny to us to take communion shots or to listen to the Kyte kids sing Jesu Bambino.
19: Roomies | At one point it was just a joke for us to be roomies, but then it became reality when you moved to Chicago. We have had so much fun being "Chicago Roomies". We are so lucky to be living in the same city!!
20: Swimming | Swimming has always been something we have liked to do together. We have gone swimming at the Muirfield Village pool, Rolling Green Pool, the Stumbagh's pool, Lake Delhi, the Monticello pool, and various other places. We always have fun wherever we swim!
21: Thanksgiving | We have spent Thanksgivings together in Monticello, Arlington Heights and Gurnee. It has been special to celebrate Thanksgiving together.
22: U.S.A. Independence Day | A newer tradition we have started is spending the 4th of July together. It is so fun to watch the parade, spend the day together, and go to Rolling Green to eat and see the fireworks. What fun!
23: Our very special friendship started at a very early age. We spent so much time together when you lived in Vernon Hills, and that is where our friendship began. I remember sleepovers in your room, playing with toys, going to the park, and pretending to talk on the phone. | Vernon Hills
24: Weddings | I had the honor of having you stand next to me on my wedding day as my maid of honor. I couldn't have made a better choice. Now, I have the honor of standing next to you on your wedding day as your matron of honor.
25: Exactly the same | It was always fun to dress alike. We were so cute!! We had so many matching outfits. Some may say that I liked to dress alike until I was way too old to be doing it (like at Grandma and Grandpa's 50th) and I may or may not agree...
26: Youth Center | Remember skating in and around the Youth Center? Remember going through the Youth Center at fair time? The Youth Center was always a fun place to go with Grandma.
27: Zooming | Whether it be on roller skates or on an inner tube, we have "zoomed" many places. It has been so much fun, making all of these memories with you. Here's to many, many more amazing memories!
