Born and raised in Trail, B.C. Canada, I moved to the U.S. in 1983 for a college education. After college and spending time in Libby and Missoula, Mt, our family settled in Whitefish in 2002. A beautiful feature of this area is Glacier National Park - one of the most scenic parks in the world. We feel very fortunate to live so close to one of the world’s great wonders and spend much time on the trails. The park offers something for everyone including hiking, cycling, canoeing, wildlife viewing, bird watching, photography, swimming, camping, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and a variety of educational programs. When it comes to nature photography, the park offers almost endless possibilities. Growing up in rugged, southeastern British Columbia, my parents helped instill in me an appreciation of the natural world. In particular, I learned to notice the small, often unnoticed plants, birds, wildflowers and insect life that surround us as well as the scenic grandeur of high mountain ranges. It is this combined appreciation that I hope to convey through my photographic art. I hope that in turn, visitors will more fully appreciate all that Glacier National Park and surrounding areas have to offer and perhaps in doing so will support ongoing efforts to preserve our last remaining wild places. In an effort to do my small part, 5% of all profits from the sale of respective prints and books go to the Glacier Institute and the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation – non-profit organizations providing educational opportunities to adults and children to better understand the ecology of the Crown of the Continent ecosystem. All of the photos in this book are available as prints and are available in several sizes ranging from 8” x 10” to 24” x 36” on photographic paper or canvas. Collages featuring Glacier landscapes and wildflowers are aslo available.
