16: Getting in the car every Christmas Eve and Mom always losing her shoe. We had to wait in the car while Mom and Dad went looking for the "missing shoe". Then we came home and seen that Santa had come while we were out looking at the Christmas lights. | Aunt Florence always had a fiber optic thing on her T.V. | Lunch money in the camp fire can on the T.V. | Going to Grandma Cronin's and Grandma Sylvester's for Christmas and New Years. Always switched each year. | 4th of July fireworks and parade at Gowrie at Grandma Cronin's | Quit your belly-achin' | Cracking walnuts with a hammer in the basement | Jones Pool | Bing Crosby on the stereo | Crosswords

17: Playing cards or board games with Mom. Usually gin rummy, scrabble or boggle | Taking naps at Grandma Sylvester's and running our fingers on the velvet wallpaper | Green Oldsmobile catching on fire | Duffy's Tavern, whether you eat, meet, feet, Archie the manager speaking (really - Duffy's Tavern, where the elite meet to eat, Archie the manager speaking) | Playing basketball, either at Wilson School or on Quarry Ave. | Getting smacked in the head with the prayer book when misbehaved in church | Sewing Machine | Party Barge | Fight ye devils, fight, who needs peace anyways | Going to the library every Saturday

18: Homemade Buns | Homemade pies | I'll take Murder Mysteries for $500 Alex | "Warming" our hands under the dryer vent | Coming back from Grandma Cronin's and the "older" kids throwing apples out the window | Uncle Joe and Uncle Jack doing the rope pull | Spending the week at Grandma Cronin's and bottle feeding the baby sheep | Riding our bikes with banana seats, down Schaeffer Drive and popping wheelies at the bump at the end of the driveway | Helping Dad work on the car by "holding the flashlight" | Just use some "elbow grease" | Detasseling corn | Hell and a hand basket | I'll have to say is . . . 19: Christmas presents wrapped in egg cartons or frisbees | Picking thistles at Grandma Cronin's | Suckin' Liquor | Sheets always washed on Mondays. Smell of the sheets after being hung on the line (even frozen) | Supper always hot, wrapped in tinfoil in the oven when we came home from a late practice | Pounding the bread dough and saying our names as she hits the dough to knead it | Stew, Homemade Kolaches, and Cinnamon Rolls | Making our favorite meal for our birthdays | Grandma Cronin sending our Angel Food birthday cakes through the mail | Wheel . . .of . . . Fortune! | Delivering the Penny Saver | Easter baskets on Grandma Cronin's table | "Good night Sister Mary Elephant" | Forgot what you were going to tell Mom - "must have been a lie" | Picking mulberries, and Grandma Cronin making warm mulberry sauce | Dad teaching us how to drive | Grandma Sylvester coming down to help Dad out when Mom had another kid (she was down a lot!) | Getting sunburned and having to put vinegar on it to take the sting out | Dad roller skating | I'm just resting my eyes | Mom knitting sweaters, doll clothes, afghans, baby blankets. Baby hats and booties for the hospitals | X's and O's dishes chart | Brady Bunch Song | Bible in the wood case | Pizza Scissors | Homemade pizza on Saturday nights | Playing kick the can in the street
