FC: The Old Cardarellie Mansion by Morgn Schulte

The Old Cardarellie Mansion | By Morgan Schulte

The year was 1804 when the Cardarellie's built an elegant medium sized mansion not knowing that they had built it on Indian Burial grounds. On a stormy night one of the Cardarellie children walked down the stairs to get a drink when he heard, "Get out.' in a soft voice. He ignored it. Then he heard it again, but louder. There was a flash of lightning and the Cardarellie boy was gone. From that very night the Indians have captured trespassers and turned them into ghosts.

Two hundred six years later........ One day after school Skylar, Tara, Sofi, and I were walking to Skylar's house. We had never walked from school to Skylar's house. So this was kind of new to us. I said to Skylar, 'I don't remember going this way to your house." "Me neither." said Sofi. "This is just a short cut through the woods!! "shouted Skylar" "O.K!" exclaimed Tara. Skylar had a worried look on her face. I knew something was up. "Skylar, are we lost?!" I asked. "Nooo... FINE! We are lost." "O.K." Tara said worriedly. "We need to find a house." Tara said. "But the only house is.....is....the.... Cardarellie Mansion!" exclaimed Sofi. You heard what happened to that boy." I said concerned. "We have to find a phone!" Tara said with determination. They turned the corner and there it was....the enormous Cartarellie Mansion. Looking run down and abandoned.

"Can we borrow your phone?" Tara asked with horror. No answer. Then we all walked slowly into the house, our hearts beating faster and faster. Next we heard a phone ringing. It was a faint sound, but I could still hear it. We followed the sound and it led to the basement!!! There it was... the phone sitting by itself in the far side of the basement on a stool. | We walked up to the porch of the mansion. When Sofi got both of her feet on the fourth step she fell through. Luckily Skylar was there to catch her. "O.K. let's avoid the stairs." I said. So we climbed up onto the porch and Skylar knocked on the door. We heard a voice whisper. "Why are you here?"

"Aw, man!" I exclaimed. Then everyone stared at me. "What?" I said. "Who's going to get the phone?" proclaimed Tara. "Nobody!!" groaned the voice. Then in the middle of the basement an Indian Chief appears. Sofi faints and Skylar helps her get back on her feet. The voice said again, "Why are you here?" "We got lost, and we need to call our parents." I said nervously. "How did you get here?" asked Tara.

"Long ago some white skinned men told us to leave our land, but we refused and it ended up in war. Many of my people, including me, lost our lives. We seek revenge on any white skinned people who tresspass this land....like you!!!!" Then we all started running as fast as we could up the stairs and out the front door. The Indian ghost was on our tail until we got to the edge of his land.

"Skyler! Skyler! I know this street!" Sofi exclaimed loudly. Then we all slowed down and looked around. "This way!" said Skyler. Then we all started running again. We made a couple of turns until.... "We're here, we're here!" shouted Skylar. "Can we go one minute without you screaming?" Tara asked. "Nope." Skylar called. When we got to Skylar's house.... "Why can't four girls just have a normal sleepover?" I asked.
