FC: Archetypes & Heroic Cycle Project

1: You are about to experience the brutality of the world of high school through the eyes of a teenage girl. | Some content may not be suitable for readers. | WARNING | you have now entered girl world...

2: The Story Synopsis | New student Cady Heron transfers into a public school for the first time in her life. Cady is shocked to find that people aren't as nice or as welcoming as she had expected. Cady finds friends in

3: Janis Ian; the typical high school gothic outcast & Damien, who "is almost too gay to function". To Cady's dismay, she was quickly targeted by the clique of popular girls called "The Plastics". The Plastics were made up of three girls; Karen Smith, Gretchen Wieners & Regina George. Set on revenge, Janis & Damien convince Cady to falsely befriend The Plastics & secretly plot to destroy Regina Gorge's reputation. As Cady grows closer to The Plastics, she becomes more like them, leaving Janis & Damien behind. "You're not pretending anymore, you're plastic! Cold, hard, shinny, plastic."-Janis

4: The Hero | The hero of our story is none but the fabulous Cady Heron. Cady shows heroic traits in many ways throughout our story, one maybe her continuous struggle to successfully destroy Regina George.

5: Hero: an archetypal character who is constantly confronted by enemies which her or she must over come. He or she is self-less and experiences self-sacrifice.

6: The Mentors | An archetypal mentor, by definition, is "usually a positive figure, a source of knowledge & information, one who aids & trains the hero".

7: only for the fact of, they are not using their powers for good but for evil. They help Cady falsely befriend | The mentor in our story is played by Janis & Damien. Janis & Damien are almost the exact definition of mentors. I say almost | The Plastics & plot against them to destroy Regina's reputation.

8: The Threshold Guardian | This character is usually a damsel in distress, the character creates obstacles & tests the hero. But in our story, it's a high school crush that tests our hereon & is need of rescuing from the clutches of the evil Regina.

9: In our story it is none other than the sexy, smart, sensitive & popular Aaron Samuels. Cady meets Aaron in math class on her first day, later she finds the he is "off-limits" because he dated Regina. In many ways Aaron tests Cady as they become friends & study partners, because she must resist his good looks & his charm. As the story goes on & Regina & Aaron get back together, he then becomes the damsel in distress. Cady then must rescue him form Regina & her world of lies & cheating.

10: The Shape Shifters | These characters purpose is the deceive our hero. They also bring suspense to the story & are usually on the side of the shadow. | Here our shape shifters are Gretchen Weiners & Karen Smith. "Gretchen knows everything about everyone that's why her hair is so big, it's full of secrets".

11: Gretchen & Karen become friends with Cady once she begins | to destroy Regina's reputation.Throughout our story Gretchen & Karen cause typical girl drama between Regina & Cady, making it harder for Cady to successfully destroy Regina.

12: The Shadow | "Evil takes human form in Regina Gorge. Don't be fooled, she may seem like your typical selfish, backstabbing, slut-faced, hoe-bag. But in reality, she is so much worse than that." -Janis Ian

13: Known as the bad-guy, the antagonist, or the villain; the shadow wants only death, destruction & failure for the hero. Regina George is our shadow. Regina is pure high school girl evil. Throughout our story Regina is trying to cause discontent in Cady's world. For example, when Regina finds out Cady like her ex Aaron, she says she'll talk to him for. But instead she kisses him right in front of Cady.

16: Call to Adventure | In the herioc cycle, our heron's call to adventure is when she transfers into North Shore High School. This is her call to adventure because

17: Threshold Crossing | Our heron's threshold crossing is when she first sits with The Plastics.

18: Tests & Allies | The first test our heron faces is the Halloween party. Our heron's allies are Janis & Damien.

19: Supreme Test | Our heron's supreme test is when she encounters the evilness of the burn book.

20: Reward | Our heroin has many rewards throughout the story. But her biggest reward of all is that she becomes popular & in the end, destroys The Plastics. | "I saw Cady Heron wearing army pants & flip flops, so i bought army pants & flip flops."

21: Return | The return or resolution in our story is when the student return to North Shore in the fall & everything is back to normal.
