Brett, Remember how I used to take all those photos? Well, it was all in anticipation of a day like today. Jodi knows you well, but by the time she finishes leafing through this book, she's going to know you a lot better. You see, I have photographic evidence that you weren't always the mild-mannered good citizen you are today. Once upon a time you were something altogether different...
Once upon a time you were a trucker. Thankfully it was just Halloween and we didn't have to see that look on your face every day.
Early on you were also a referee. Thanks to my amazing basketball skills and knowledge you learned to tell the difference between a double dribble and a travel.
During one particularly dark period, you were a member of a ruthless band of assassins.
That period ended with your unfortunate and untimely death. And mine too.
One time you were a high-stakes gambler...
 ... a prizefighter...
... and an American Gladiator all in the same night.
Not bad for a total FANBC.
Then there was this one time...
 Oh, college.
 Romantic photo interlude
And now back to our regularly scheduled debauchery
OK this isn't you but it's the closest I had to a Miner of Doom. And let's face it, this guy is totally awesome. | Not a bad imitation.
You were also a charter member of the baddest CS clan on the planet. I still have my shirt.
And there was that one time you were a movie critic... | ... that same night Trinity died. So sad: she was so young.
Oh yeah, then there were all those football games... | ... where you were pretty much all-flyster-all-the-time.
The day we played State in 2004, you were a wild beast.
And you led us to a triple over time victory. All you, yo.
Jodi, before this ends there are a few more things you should know about Brett. | His real name is Buttis McKeam, his birth father is none other than THE Captain B'jole, and since the 5th grade he's been obsessed with mosh pits.
Most importantly, Brett has my friend since we were 10. I'm proud of his accomplishments, impressed by his leadership in the community, and excited to see where life takes the two of you together. Congratulations!
