4: While in Bryce Canyon, we hiked: Sunset Point, Navajo Loop, Peek-A-Boo Loop and Bryce Point.

6: Pinnacles and spikes are also known as HooDoos

7: Bryce Canyon National Park is named for pioneer Ebenezer Bryce in 1875. He was sent by the LDS Church because his skill as a carpenter would be helpful in settling the area.

10: Elevation Ranges from 8,000 to over 9,000 feet.

12: Erosion has carved the formations into spires, fins, and arches

13: Orange and red hues that color the hoodoos are the result of iron oxidizing within the rock.

71: The waterfall plunges 130 feet over a sandstone cliff, and then flows to meet the Escalante River

73: We started on this hike just before dusk. Coming out of the falls it was dark, we were not prepared for hiking in the dark. Aunt Gayle fell in cacti on the way out.

74: Aunt Gayle was on a Mule named Fester | Susie was on a Horse named Anaconda | Horse Back/Mule Ride

75: Erin was on a Mule named RaNae | Connie was on a Mule named Ruby

76: The sure-footed horses and mules walk very close to the edges of the cliffs.

78: A much easier way to hike and see Bryce Canyon.

79: Connie, Aunt Gayle, Erin, Susie

82: Last stops before we went home, we went to each lookout point for one last look.

85: Erin was tired and done hiking.

92: My favorite lookout was Inspiration Point
