BC: "Daddy please don't look so sad, momma please don't cry. Cause I'm in the arms of Jesus, and he sings me lullabies. Please try not to question God, don't think he is unkind. Don't think he sent me to you and then changed his mind. ...You see I'm a special child, I am needed up above. I'm the special gift you gave Him, a product of your love. I'll always be there with you, so watch the sky at night. Look for the brightest star and know that's my halo's brilliant light. You'll see me in the morning frost that mists your window pane. That's me in the summer showers, I'll be dancing in the rain. When you feel a gentle breeze from a gentle wind that blows. Know that it's me planting a kiss upon your nose. When you see a child playing and your heart feels a tug, Don't be sad mommy, that's just me giving your heart a hug. So daddy don't look so sad and momma please don't cry. I'm in the arms of Jesus and he sings me lullabies! ~Unknown
FC: Caleb Neel Scheiern | A Life to Remember.
God brought Caleb Neel Scheiern into our lives on March 6, 2011. He made his debut at 5lb 3oz. 17 1/2" long. He is the vision of perfection.
"A new baby is the the beginning of all things-wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities"-Eda Le Shan | If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle. Vincent Van Gogh
"A baby is God's opinion, that the world should go on."- Carl Sandburg
Babies are bits of stardust, blown from the hand of God. - Barreto
Forget me not My little one You have left us too soon Though my body can no longer hold you I hold you forever in my heart As precious and beautiful as this flower caught in time A mother's love does not forget. ~Unknown | Babies are angels that fly to the earth to bring us joy. Sometimes they have to return sooner than we'd like, it doesn't make their visit any less important.
How very softly you tiptoed into my world. Almost silently; Only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint Your footprints have left On our hearts. --Author Unknown
"Angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone." ~Author Unknown | "They say that time in heaven is compared to 'the blink of an eye' for us on this earth. Sometimes it helps me to think of my child running ahead of me through a beautiful field of wildflowers and butterflies; so happy and completely caught up in what he is doing that when he looks behind him, I'll already be there." ~Author Unknown
"Sweet little flower of Heavenly birth, you were too fair to bloom on Earth" ~Author Unknown | "A family is a circle of love, not broken by a loss, but made stronger by the memories. We remember."
"I want to see a picture from heaven", says the best big brother a boy could have. His sweet mother responds, "I know son I do too but we will just have to wait." My heart breaks as I listen to this conversation and watch the tears fall from their eyes. "Daddy, I really miss Caleb, I want him down here". The answers to the questions seem so far away but soon the laughter begins as they share their grief with each other. A picture from heaven? We'll just have to wait. The love grows stronger and stronger as packages arrive. The newspaper is still delivered, nap time is still an argument, grass gets taller, trips to the park to feed the ducks still have to be taken and gas prices rise and fall. All of these things are symbols of life moving forward. A picture from heaven? We'll just have to wait. There is a piece missing that will only be replaced when Caleb is in our arms again. We don't forget. We don't move on. We simply allow the Earth to turn, seconds to go by and God to heal. A picture from heaven? We'll just have to wait. The road ahead is lit, the lamps have been placed upon our feet. The picture from heaven we all so desperately want to see is waiting for us. We will be allowed glimpses as we continue to watch Stephanie, Chris, but most of all Mason. They are the picture I long to see from Heaven. The love of Christ that dwells within them is what Caleb is immersed in right now. I was so blessed to have Caleb's smile and laughter fill my heart almost every day since he was born. Mason used to tell everyone who held Caleb "You have to leave Caleb here because I like him" We all prayed for Caleb to be healed but God is saying "You have to leave Caleb here because I like him" A picture from heaven? We'll just have to wait. Until then, a few words, a hug, a smile, is what we can offer each other. Caleb was born beautiful on March 6th but was born perfect on June 17th. by Aunt Susanne Alexander
Caleb was born March 6th, but that was not our first memories of him, in fact Caleb had been telling us about his personality for more than 3 months prior to that. At first I thought Stephanie was exaggerating the extent of Caleb’s kicking, that there was no way he could be as active as she was describing. By six months into her pregnancy however it became clear that Caleb wanted to come meet us. So about a month early and classified by weight as a preemie Caleb Neel Scheiern removed the barriers and allowed us to hold him in our arms. Over the next months Caleb began to show us the most incredible personality and we will hold close the memories of a wide eyed boy who at three months old already figured out how to make his parents laugh, and smiled all the larger when we did. Yes we wanted to see Caleb covered in cake frosting at his first birthday, to watch him hit a home run, and learn to drive; but Stephanie and I are so happy because while we will miss all of those we are given a huge gift. We will reunite in Heaven with our son, a son who we never yelled at, never sent to his room, and never had to discipline. Yes, we’ll miss 60 or so years on Earth, but we will spend eternity in Heaven with a son whose relationship to us has no scars and knew no hurt feelings, an untarnished relationship with a son who never let us down.- Words from Chris Scheiern
Tiny Angels rest your wings sit with me for awhile. How I long to hold your hand, And see your tender smile. Tiny Angel, look at me, I want this image clear.... That I will forget your precious face Is my biggest fear. Tiny Angel can you tell me, Why you have gone away? You weren't here for very long.... Why is it, you couldn't stay? Tiny Angel shook his head, "These things I do not know.... But I do know that you love me, And that I love you so". Author Unknown
From Our Heavenly Father: "I'll lend you for a little time a child of Mine," He said, "For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he dies. It may be only for a short time, but will you till I call him back, take care of him for me? He'll bring his charms to gladden you and shall his stay be brief, you'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return, but there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn. I've looked the wide world over in my search for teachers true, and from the throngs that crowd life's lanes I have selected YOU. Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain, nor hate me when I come to call him back again? I fancy that I heard them say: "Dear Lord, Thy will be done! For all the joy they child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run. We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may, and for the happiness we've known, we will forever grateful stay; but shall the angels call for him much sooner than we've planned, we'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand."
