3: The museum is housed in the former emperor place building.It was originally designed as a court's house when it was constructed by convict labour in 1867.However,it was used by various
4: Government departments instead.The building was renamed Empress Place Building in 1907 to commemorate the reign of Queen Victoria of England ,Empress of India.It was then
5: converted to the privately~run Empress Place Museum from 1989 to 1995 and re~opened as Asian Civillizations Museum in 2nd March 2003 as one of the three National Museums in Singapore .
7: The time capsule,situated outside the Asian Civillisations Museum,was officially sealed on 29 December 1990 by the Deputy Prime Minister.Mr Ong Teng Cheong.The time capsule stores stores a collection of significant items from Singapore
8: 25 years of Independence.It will be opened in the year 2015 on the occasion of Singapore's 25th Anniversary of Independence.
11: In 1819,Sir Stamford Raffles,the founder of Singapore ,landed on the Singapore River Bank.He signed a treaty with 28.From that time to 1819,Singapore became a British colony It is believe that this is he first time landing site on 28th January 1819.
12: This pure white poly~marble statue is the replica of the original Raffles statue erected in front of the Fishing Village.
15: Padang | City Hall was built in the old Corinthian column style in 1929 and it houses various government departments,including the Prime Minister's office,the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the former Ministry of Culture.

25: The Supreme court,construted between 1937 and 1939,was the last colonial classic building in Singapore.It is built with massive Corinthain columes as well as alarge dome.a new Supreme court is being built behind this building.When the new
