1: DAY 1 & 2: Fly to Munich - Mon Sept 16, 2013. Visit Marienplatz and market area. Hotel Feringapark, Munich DAY 3: Explore Schwangau’s Neuschwanstein Castle built by King Ludwig of Bavaria – (the inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle ). Spend the night in Rothenburg. Day 4: Tour the fully-preserved medieval town of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber. Hotel - Altes Brauhaus Then off to Prague with a stop in Nuremburg for lunch in the town square market and then a stop at the Pilsner brewery in the Czech Republic . Arrive at the Panorama Hotel in Prague. Day 5: Spend the day touring Prague. Start at Prague Castle and walk to the old town square. DAY 6: Head back into Germany to Passau and embark on the TUI Melodia to begin an eight-day river cruise along the Danube. Day 7: Spend some time in Melk, Austria a city begun in 831 A.D. with the construction of its monastery. Then cruise into Vienna for an Evening Concert of Mozart and Strauss - Day 8: Enjoy a day in Vienna Day 9: Visit Esztergom, one of the oldest cities in Hungary. Day 10: Tour Budapest, nestled atop 80 geothermal springs that make the city famous for its spa treatments. See both Buda and Pest. Day 11: Shop at the Grand Market of Budapest, then in the afternoon, explore Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia. Day 12: Visit Linz, Austria, home of the Linzertorte Pastry. 15: The walls of this medieval town are intact and still surround the entire town. We had a great view of the wall and a guard tower from our room in this old brewery. | The Views from our Corner Room

16: Rothenburg o.d. Tauber is Germany's Fairy-tale Dream Town. It's a beautiful and fully preserved walled medieval town. It is very popular with tourists,but is still incredibly charming. There's a thousand years of history packed into its walls and cobbles. It is now known for it's shopping and Christmas shops. At night, the day tourists leave and it becomes quiet and magical. We loved wandering the deserted streets after dinner.

24: PRAGUE | The City of a Thousand Spires: Undamaged by WWII, Prague's medieval center remains a wonderful mixture of cobbled lanes, walled courtyards, cathedrals and countless church spires all in the shadow of her majestic 9th century castle. It is regarded by many as one of Europe's most charming and beautiful cities. The old city is best seen on foot ... and that is what we did.

25: We started our tour of Prague at Prague Castle, then walked back down through lesser town, across the Charles Bridge, into the Jewish Quarter then and into the Old Town Square | Prague Castle

30: Prague's Old Town Square is one of the main squares of the city and dates back to the 12th century. With its ancient buildings and magnificent churches, this is one of the most beautiful historical sights in Europe. Over the centuries buildings of Romanesque, Baroque and Gothic styles were erected here around the original market.

39: June 2013 flood line | June Floods 2013 Passau, Germany is the junction of 3 rivers -The Danube, the Inn and the Ilz Rivers. In June, three months before we came to Passau, they had a flood that came up to the second story of buildings. It was the worst flood in 500 years. 73: Matthias Church is on Castle Hill, the Buda side of the Danube.It was constructed in the florid late Gothic style in the mid-late 14th century. Every surface of the church is elaborately painted. Beautiful and breathtaking!
