FC: Washington DC Trip By Jacob Jenzeh
1.This is a picture at Arlington National Cemetery, these are just some of many gravestones of people that have died in combat. You have to get to know these people that have passed to actually get emotional. I was sad because we learned about Matthew Puccino and how good of a father and uncle he was to everybody. A saying people say about him is “he gave his today for our tomorrow.”
 2. These are DC’s well known cherry blossoms. They are really cool to look at and they are really pretty. They are all around DC. They made me think how lucky we were to have these to look at during our trip. Many people that went didn't get to see these.
 3. This is a sad picture at the Holocaust Museum. This is a picture of a town that had hundreds of thousands of people living there and imagine if only four people survived. I am so sad that so many were killed and worked until they died. also how they just got taken from their homes and put in concentration camps.
 5. This is the Air Force Memorial, it is 3 really high steel pillars that are surrounded by lights and make a cool effect. It is really tall compared to most of the other memorials. I have never seen this memorial and when I got there it made me stop in my tracks it was so abstract and unique.
 6. This is Edward Moore Kennedy’s gravestone at Arlington National Cemetery. He is buried just 95 feet south of the area where his older brothers President John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy were buried. I still don't know why people put money next to it.
 7. This is a picture of eating out at Carmine's Diner. We all had to dress up nice to eat there and we had pasta and bread. I had a good night and after we left we went to the movies.
This is a picture of one of Mathew Paccino's friends who witnessed him die in combat. It made me sad to hear what he said about Mathew and probably the students in my class were sad too. I liked that his friend would come to talk to us about one of his friends and now he is one of ours.
This is Mathew Paccino's gravestone. If I didn't learn about him I would have not felt anything but because I did I felt bad and felt empathy for him. I felt sad knowing how nice and how he was a figure to everyone and to his kids and everybody around him.
This is a picture of a pancake I got at a diner we went to in the morning before we started on another adventure. They had excellent food it tasted amazing. It was like Mels Café a diner I go to in Wayland. This place in DC is much better than any places I have been.
This is a picture of some friends in my bus group at the Vietnam memorial. They are posing randomly and it made me laugh when I found this picture, (Ian,Duncan,Sam,Ben,Jay and Chris)
This is a picture of the Lincoln memorial. I never knew that one side of him is tense with the hand clenched and the other he is calm and relaxed. It was raining that day which was bad but still fun memorial.
This is the bus we were taking around DC. It made me think how lucky we are to get to take a nice bus around DC and not a regular bus.
This is a picture of animals we saw at the zoo. This was really fun because we got to take time of from work and have exciting at the zoo with friends and new friends.
This is the back side of the white house. I was thinking that it was the front because it was so big but it was the back. It was so fun looking at it in person not in a video or picture.
This is the MLK memorial this was one of my favorite memorials because it makes you think about it. I thought about it in many ways that I didn't think I would. It also had a really cool effect on MLK and the mountain.
This is a picture of the 9/11 memorial it was one of the saddest memorials I saw. One of the youngest people that died was 3 years old I thought what would have happened it I was on that plane.
This is a picture of the entrance to the Baseball game we went to. It was a huge stadium I thought it would be crowded but it was not at all. It made me think how we actually get to do fun stuff like watch the game.
This is a picture of the Vietnam memorial It was really cool because of the reflecting wall and how there were all the countries involved in it. I really thought it was fun.
This is a picture of the Japanese internment camp memorial. This one was really cool but sad at the same time. I thought about all the camps and everything and became really sad.
Exploring emotion Jacob Jenzeh No one is blinking Not a sound in the air The lights are really dim Tears are filling everyones eyes As we enter the third floor everyone stops in their tracks shoes fill the room the smell makes you almost faint people used these burnt gross shoes just thinking about it makes me horrified This tells a story life should not be like this again
Longest ride ever Jacob Jenzeh My alarm clocks sounds 4:30 in the morning I get up shower eat brush my teeth get in the car I arrive at union station at 5:15 I check in and fall asleep in a chair I get on the train sit down and fall asleep I wake up from a slap in the face I try to go back to bed it fails
