Mom's House 15 Puppy Dog Way Lakewood, CO October 17th Nana’s House 10 Big Pup St. Penfield, NY Dear Moose, How are you? I haven't seen you since Mom, Dad, and I drove home to visit you in May. What have you been doing? I’m sure you've been having a great time with Nana, Papa, and Uncle Colin. We've been going on TONS of adventures! My favorite was a couple of weeks ago when we climbed up to St. Mary’s Glacier. We started out climbing up a bunch of rocks. Then, we made it up to a beautiful lake where we met a couple of other friendly pups. After that, Dad took me up to play in the snow field. It started to snow when we reached the top! I’ve included a picture of the three of us from the top. I can't wait to hear what you've been up to! Love, Pooka
Nana’s House 10 Big Pup St. Penfield, NY October 21st Mom’s House 15 Puppy Dog Way Lakewood, CO Dear Pooka, I've been having a great time! The weather has been cold here in New York. I can't believe how cold it has been, and it's only October! Nana had to go buy me a winter coat to wear outside. Even though it has been just about freezing outside, Nana and Papa have still been taking me camping! Last weekend, we camped out by the lake, which is one of my favorite places in the world! I love to go swimming in the water, even when it is cold out! I bet you haven't done anything as cool as that! Your pal, Moose P.S. Write back with another exciting adventure!
Mom’s House 15 Puppy Dog Way Lakewood, CO October 26th Nana’s House 10 Big Pup St. Penfield, NY Dear Moose, Swimming? Is that the best you've got? Wait until you hear this... it's only October, and we've already got seven inches of snow! On Monday, it was 80 degrees outside, and then all of a sudden... I woke up to snow! It's freezing outside! Mom said I had to go outside even though I didn't want to. Guess what? I loved it! I played outside in the backyard for a long time. I really like to eat the snow! Mom and Dad built a snowman. They used my favorite treat candy corn to make its face. I secretly hope that it melts soon so that I can eat the candy corn! I can't wait to read about your latest adventure! I bet you can't beat seven inches of snow in October! Love, Pooka
Nana’s House 10 Big Pup St. Penfield, NY November 1st Mom’s House 15 Puppy Dog Way Lakewood, CO Dear Pooka, Gross! I am so glad it's not snowing here! Yesterday was Halloween, and it was actually warm enough to go trick or treating. Nana bought me the coolest dinosaur costume. Uncle Colin took me out to get candy with him. He even let me eat an apple lollipop... and it was way better than candy corn! After trick or treating, Nana and Papa took me to a haunted house. It was the scariest place I have ever been in my entire life! There were ghosts, goblins, witches, monsters, and Mom's least favorite of all.. CLOWNS! She would have been so scared! Not me. I am not scared of anything! I bet your Halloween wasn't half as great as mine! I can't wait to hear about it! Your big brother, Moose
Mom’s House 15 Puppy Dog Way Lakewood, CO November 7th Nana’s House 10 Big Pup St. Penfield, NY Dear Moose, Even though I've grown to love the snow, I was glad it melted by Friday. By Halloween, it was warm enough that I got to go trick or treating, too! Mom and Dad let me pick out my costume, so I was a... CHICKEN! It was way cooler than the hot dog costume that I wore last year. I included a picture so that you could see how awesome my costume was! Mom, Dad, and I went on the most excellent hike ever this weekend. We went to this place called Mount Galbraith and hiked about four and a half miles! The fall colors were really beautiful. Dad held me up high in the sky so I could really get a great view. Write back quickly... I want to hear about something fun you've been doing! Love, Pooka
Nana’s House 10 Big Pup St. Penfield, NY November 14th Mom’s House 15 Puppy Dog Way Lakewood, CO Dear Pooka, Uncle Colin and I went on the greatest adventure this weekend! He wouldn't tell me where we were going at first. He said that it was going to be a big surprise. We drove for about a half hour, and I started to get sleepy. I closed my eyes for just a second... ...and when I woke up, we were there! First, Uncle Colin took me to get my very own vanilla ice cream cone. It even had peanuts on top! Then, we walked across the parking lot towards Lake Ontario. You'll never guess where we went next... I'll tell you! It was to the end of the pier. All we could see was water. It was awesome! Write back with a better adventure if you dare! Love, Moose
Mom’s House 15 Puppy Dog Way Lakewood, CO November 21st Nana’s House 10 Big Pup St. Penfield, NY Dear Moose, Guess what!? Today is Dad's birthday! Mom had to go to work, but I got to stay home with Dad ALL DAY! You will never guess where Dad and I went out to an early dinner. It was already dark at 4:30! Can you believe this daylight savings stuff? Anyway, he took me to the best restaurant in Colorado... Casa Bonita! It was my first time there, and I ordered the gorditas. They were delicious, but the sopaipillas were even better! After we ate, Dad and I walked around to see all of the cool stuff that Casa Bonita has to offer. We watched the cliff divers, the magic show, and the puppet show. Then, Dad took me to play in the arcade. We stayed for a whole hour! It was so much fun! That's not even the best part. Tomorrow, Grandma and Grandpa will be here with Uncle Nate and Uncle Brad for Thanksgiving! I can't wait! Love, Pooka P.S. What are your Thanksgiving plans?
Nana’s House 10 Big Pup St. Penfield, NY November 26th Mom’s House 15 Puppy Dog Way Lakewood, CO Dear Pooka, I'm so jealous that you got to spend Thanksgiving with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Nate, Uncle Brad, and Mom and Dad! That is so unfair! I mean, I did get to hang out with Nana, Papa, Great-Nana, Uncle Colin and Aunt Danielle, but I still wish we could have all been together! We had the best dinner ever! Nana and Great-Nana made a delicious turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I got my own plate next to the kids table. I was in doggy heaven! After dinner, we got to eat the desserts that Aunt Danielle made. She made a special non-chocolate cupcake for me so that I wouldn't get sick. I think you should know, I was really sad when I found out that you wouldn't be home for Thanksgiving. Will you be home for Christmas? Miss you, Moose
Mom’s House 15 Puppy Dog Way Lakewood, CO December 1st Nana’s House 10 Big Pup St. Penfield, NY Dear Moose, I'm sorry that you were sad! I thought Nana and Papa told you that I was staying in Colorado for Thanksgiving. The good news is that I will be home for Christmas! Mom, Dad, and I are driving home on the the 17th. That's only two and a half weeks away! I can't wait to see you! I already have a ton of ideas about what we should do while I visit. First, I think we should go on a nice exploration adventure in Nana and Papa's backyard. It's been a while since I've been there, so I am going to need ample time to sniff everything out. Next, we should go sledding at Harris Hill Park. That would be awesome! We should also get Aunt Danielle to make us some delicious doggy treats (Mom and Dad have been skimping on the tasty treats since the Halloween season ended). I am beyond excited that I get to see you and play with you so soon! Love, Pooka
