FC: Demeter & Persephone
1: Long ago, Gods and Goddesses roamed the earth. Three of those being, Goddess of Harvest, Demeter, God of death and Uunder world, Hades, and finally, Persephone, Demeter's daughter.
2: Persephone, was a beautiful woman who was unmarried.. Due to her marital status, her uncle, Hades went to his brother Zeus king of the Gods to ask for her hand in marriage. Naturally, Demeter, who brings much life to the land would refuse for her daughter to be in such a foul place full of death.
3: With his sister's wishes in mind, Zeus told Hades that he could not give his brother his blessing, while at the same time, not forbidding against the idea of marriage.
4: Taking Zeus' remark as a 'yes', Hades began his kidnapping. Persephone, who was oblivious, was in a glen with fellow maidens picking flowers for Demeter, when one flower in particular refused to be drawn from the ground.
5: Because the roots reached too deeply, once they were pulled from the ground it created a chasm in which, Hades arose from kidnapping Persephone and taking her down into the underworld.
6: From her home in Olympus, having heard her daughter's screams, Demeter rushed back to where her Persephone had been, to find that she had vanished, no one knowing where she was, with only few having a faint idea.
7: Months treaded by agonizingly slow, and Demeter in her grieving state had caused mas famine about the mortals. She no longer looked as she once did, but now nuder the guise of an old gnarled woman. In this state, she was approached by princesses, who asked her to nurse their infant brother.
8: Naturally, Demeter accepted, taking the child into her care. However, her love for him that grew to be, brought her to begin to turn him immortal. Alas, much to her dismay, she was caught in her tracks, forcing her to stop to transformation.
9: On Olympus, Zeus made it clear that Persephone is to be released from the underworld, due to the impending destruction of the mortals.
10: Hades knew that his time with Persephone may soon come to an end, so in a last ditch effort, he had her eat four pomegranate seeds so that she would soon have to return back, as it was the law of the universe, and that can not be unchanged.
11: Since Persephone is forever fated to be in the underworld four months out of the year, Demeter turns the earth freezing cold creating winter, only to change the season to spring when her daughter returns.
