4: Aphrodite is the god of love and beauty. She married Hephaestus. She had a child named Eros. He is the god of love too. His dad is Hephaestus. | Family Members
5: Her dad's name is Zeus and her mom's name is Dione. Dione is a mortal not a Goddess. Gods and Goddesses thought she was a Demi Goddess. Her dad had a lighting bolt, but he didn't let her use it. He only let one of his other daughters use it.
6: Her Origin/Myths | Her origin was early Greece. Her origin can be traced back to similar goddesses of other civilizations. She lived on Mount Olympus with other supreme deities. Hephaestus (her husband) is the god of the homely craftsman-god.

8: Aphrodite was born from the foam of the sea floating on a seashell. The sea pulled her to shore. She had 4 sons including Eros. Cupid was her messenger for love. She married Hephaestus because Zeus forced her to marry him. She also had an affair with Ares when she was married to Hephaestus and she was caught. Aphrodite was in love with mortals and gods.
9: Facts About Her | Aphrodite had a girdle that carried magical powers that was responsible to have a god fall in love with her. Gods tried to stay away from Aphrodite because there will be a war between them and the Olympians. The Greeks believed in her because she helped with their beauty and she helped them with their troubles.
10: Aphrodite got swans, myrtles, sparrows, and doves because those birds are sacred to the goddesses of love. Aphrodite was unhappy of the marriage, but she found comfort from other gods which one of them was Ares. She didn't have any respect or bond or even have a friendship with other goddesses.
11: Nobody loved her because behind her beauty was jealous mean spirited and vain. Aphrodite and Ares had three kids together one nice the other two nasty. The Romans who called Aphrodite Venus thought she wasn't cruel. | Ares And Aphrodite
12: Greeks believed that Aphrodite was spiteful and dangerous god. Aphrodite is also known as Cytherea ( Lady of Cythera) and Cypirs ( Lady of Cyprus). She was in love with Ares but her dad didn't let her marry him. So thats also why she had to marry Hephaestus.
