BC: Doc Holliday died at age 35 of Tuberculosis on November 8, 1887

1: Doc Holliday was born on August 14, 1851

2: Doc was a dentist, and shortly after being diagnosed with Tuberculosis, he moved to Dallas, Texas in 1873 and practiced dentistry there briefly, hoping the warm air would help his health.

3: He soon took up gambling and became a professional gambler with a hot temper and was quick with a gun.

4: It probably didn't help his temper when gambling that he drank a lot, hoping to help his constant cough.

5: In his life he was arrested 7 times for various reasons.

6: Doc was involved in 8 total gunfights throughout his life.

7: In 1877, Doc met Wyatt Earp through a mutual friend, and soon became good friends with him. Soon after, they only became closer when Doc saved Wyatt's life when some cowboys tried to kill him in a saloon. | Wyatt Earp

8: Doc is mostly remembered for his friendship with Wyatt Earp and the gunfight at O.K Corral he was involved with.

9: The O.K corral gunfight is known as the most famous gunfight in the history of the old west. Wyatt Earp and his brothers asked Doc to help them out to catch some thieves. The gunfight only lasted 30 seconds, and in those 30 seconds, 30 shots were fired. Only 3 men died and others were injured.
