FC: Steve and Drew (and Beamer)
Thank for you considering to be our surrogate. We have wanted children for years, and are so excited that you may help make our dreams a reality! | Drew and Steve
We met thirteen years ago, in February 2000, when Drew was living in East Texas, and Steve was living in a small town in Oklahoma. Steve had recently moved to Oklahoma from Canada to work for the Indian Health Service. Drew was completing his nursing degree. The relationship was long distance for a year, until we both moved to Dallas in February 2001. | Drew is the dreamer, and Steve is the realist. Drew is very outgoing, and Steve a little more reserved. Drew is the kite, and Steve is the string. Our opposites work well with one another other and we have a great relationship based on honesty and love. We both want each other to achieve the best that they can, and be the best person they can be. | Our Relationship
We feel very lucky to have found one another. We share the same values, morals, and beliefs. In December of 2013, after thirteen years of a committed relationship, we were finally married. | In September of 2001, our loving dog, Beamer, was born. We are blessed to have him in our lives and know he will make a great companion for our child.
Meet Steve Steve is an Optometrist, who loves his career, but also loves his time off. He works to live, as opposed to living to work. He loves to travel, whether it be to the other side of the world or within our home state. Steve also loves to ski, go camping, and loves amusement parks - the scarier the ride the better! Movies are an important past time, as is hanging out with friends and family. | Fun Facts About Steve Raced Quarter Midget race cars from age 8-16 Squared Danced from age 8-18 Is Canadian, but has lived in the USA since 1995 Loves Christmas! He received his Nursing degree in the year 2000, and continued his studies to achieve a Masters Degree in Human Resources Training and Development. Drew loves spending time with friends, going to movies, and going to the theater (especially to see the musical, "Wicked"). 6: We live in a small community of homes in a suburb outside of Seattle. Our community has kids playing in the street, neighbors visiting each other on a Sunday afternoon, and a nice playground for kids to play in. | Our Home
There are abundant parks nearby that are great for walking, fishing and even boating. We live in one of the best school districts in the state, and specifically chose this area to live because we hoped we would one day have children. | Our neighbors right next door have a three month old, and the neighbors beside them have a one month old. The community is full of young children, and we look forward to our children playing together in the years to come.
We love everything about winter. We love the snow, the cold weather, and we especially love Christmas. In fact, Drew starts playing Christmas music on the 1st of November every year (ok, in mid-October sometimes too)! | Our Favorite Things
We have a passion for traveling, and exploring the traditions and values of other cultures of the world. We want to use that knowledge to always remember how many viewpoints there are in the world, and allow us to always appreciate what we have in our lives. | Of course, when our love of Christmas and travel collide...well, no one can resist Disney at Christmas. We have unofficially made this a tradition we try to keep at least every couple of years. We cannot wait to take our children here!
Our children will be raised in a nurturing home full of unconditional love. We will teach them the value of hard work, and work to instill the best morals and ethics that we possibly can. Raising a child with positive self-esteem will be an absolute goal, as will raising one who will be a contributing member of society. | We would like to instill the values of church in our child, in an atmosphere of inclusion, as opposed to the exclusion found in some churches. There will not be religious overbearance, but instead learning the valuable lessons that church can teach us. | Dreams For Our Child
As we raise our child, we will keep them involved in several sports and activities, to allow them to find their passions and enjoy their life. We hope to travel extensively with our child, both internationally and locally. Travel will expose our child to all different life situations, and many different cultures. If the other cultures we experience are less fortunate than ours, this will help our child be appreciative of what they have and learn the importance of helping others. Specifically, as Steve has done many Eye Care mission trips to several disadvantaged areas of the world, we will certainly take our child on one of these mission trips as well. We also want our child to have an extremely fun life. We will spend quality time together, teach our child to ski, ride a bike, fly a kite and overall have a great childhood that leads to a happy and successful adulthood.
