S: Dobson Family Vacation 2011
FC: Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island
Best Buddies | On our way to Pugwash we spotted this great boardwalk that lead out to beautiful Rushtons Beach. On our walk to the end we came across a little creek that was shallow enough to see all kinds of sea life...... Ty was very interested in the crabs.....they were not like the ones he saw in Maui these were much bigger!
 SUMMER TIME FUN
Melmerby beach, where the sand was to hot to stand on and the water so cold it would freeze if it quit moving.
We went with one loose tooth that was dangling. Then a second tooth became loose while we were there and accidently got caught on a towel and pulled out.
Once Ty realized the tooth fairy still came to Nova Scotia, he was not nearly as upset.
Snow Queen Leisure World in Antigonish, NS.
Although this was not the best mini golf course we have ever seen, it is one I am sure Ty will always remember! It was the 7th hole and Ty got his very first HOLE IN ONE!
 hanging out
Atlantica Hotel and Marina Oak Island, NS. on the South Shore. | A much better course, for the very serious; Dobson Mini Golf Challenge.
Ty loves to run and jump on the rocks. We could spend hours exploring here!
No trip to Nova Scotia is complete with out a stop at Peggy's Cove.
The plaque Ty is sitting behind is to remind those that the ocean and rocks are treacherous; savor the sea at a distance! We have always made sure Ty was aware of the danger that comes along with this little peice of heaven. Sadly while we were there a lady did in fact fall in. Ty now knows first hand just how careful you need to be.
One of the very first stores we went into; Ty found the lobster hat, and from that moment on we needed to find all different kinds of hats through out Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Ty wanted to suprise his grampie with a birthday cake, after dinner at Mings.
 Gone fishing with Bubba
Ty and Mark had been playing this game all week, then Derek and Ethan joined in.... | The "grown ups" would throw the frizbee at the boys and they would run and laugh like hell while they tried to avoide being hit. Cheap entertainment!
Lets give a Big River Ribbit for Katie the best tour guide in all of Nova Scotia.... | Although running an hour late the Harbour Hopper was a highlight to our trip.
 ...1, 2, 3, RIBBIT, RIBBIT, RIBBIT!
THOSE WHO LIKE IT... | ...LIKE IT A LOT!
Tatamagouche has the best little area where they have turned old CP Rail train cars into a diner, and hotel. The old train station is the beautiful gift shop.
Mahone Bay, NS. is a little town with a big heart and a lot of churches.
 Pictou Lobster Carnival
This is what I get when I say... | ...Ty smile nice!
On the NFL Ferry heading to PEI
 Built in 1876
Ty's love of lighthouses carried over into PEI. So we spent most of our time there exploring 5 of the 9 open towers that are spread out across the province. | Built in 1845, this is the oldest lighthouse in PEI
 Built in 1880
 Built in 1875
John and Elaine's in Augustine Cove, PEI.
Our last night in PEI was spent with the Fowlers at their home. In addition to a wonderful evening, we had the pleasure of seeing one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.
Built in 1881 it's keeper was the first to hear the Titanic's distress signal as it sank off the coast of Newfoundland.
