Elizabob Robb and the No-Good-Very-Bad Week - Page Text Content

FC: By Kayleigh Robb | Elizabob Robb and the No-Good-Very-Bad-Day

Elizabob Robb was a happy girl, who loved life. She loved her college, she loved her car and she reallllllly liked her boyfriend.

One day, Elizabob was very sad and she wondered, "Why?" She realized how much she missed her boyfriend who lived far away and went to a much inferior school than she did. Elzabob was worried, if she was sad now, how much sadder would she be when she left for the big city after she graduated? Elizabob called her boyfriend and told him how she felt. They agreed it would be est to break up. Even though they broke up mutually, she cried and cried because she had really liked him.

"Friends are born, not made." ~Henry B. Adams | The next day, Elizabob's favorite team, the MSU Spartans played in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament. That year, the Spartans had not even been expected to make the tournament, but the best coach in basketball, Tom Izzo, helped them be the biggest success in the Big Ten. They won the Big 10 Title, the Big 10 tournament and they were the number one seed from their division in the NCAA tournament. Elizabob was so proud.

"A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same." ~Elbert Hubbard

"Though time may pass, our sisterhood will last!"

But the Spartans fell to Louisville on Thursday. And the bars were so packed she and her friends couldn't even drink away the shame. AND Elizabob's creepy and icky ex-ex-ex-ex boyfriend from summer camp who goes to Centre, bragged to her that his team was better. They weren't better. We were just worse.

Dave told Elizabob there was something amiss with the undercarriage of her car. He could fix it after the oil change, and it was a safety hazard, but it would be costly. Elizabob sighed. She called her mom. She knew what she had to do. $596 later, it was like a magic fairy had taken her paycheck. Except it wasn't. It was Dave and a Hefty Mechanic named Lawrence. Elizabob's Mom would say "This is just part of car ownership." Elizabob would say, "This bites."

As Elizabob planned her move to Australia, her friend Kelli Lynn called her. "My Grandma is dying.", Kelli said. Elizabob had no words, she was so sad for Kelli. Her grandmother had raised her. It was like Kelli's mother was passing away. But it put it in perspective for her....

After her no good very bad days, Elizabob had aways had somebody to talk to, someone to call her, someone to hug her if she needed. Soon, her best friend might not have the only mother she had ever known. Elizabob, no matter her misfortune, was so blessed with a big, loving family. Elizabob never really had any No-Good-Very-Bad-Days, just blips on her unhappiness radar in a sea of bliss, and opportunity.
