3: Evanger, Voss Norway The beautiful area in Norway where the Evanger family came from, and also from which they took their last name.

4: Herman Gotskalksen Evanger | "Herman Gotskalksen Evanger from Evanger, Voss born 1856 came as a bag merchant (traveling salesman) and mountain worker (miner), received auction deed 07/14/1893 for 14 250 kroner. Lived at Yttern from around 1890; trades here and in the fishing season trades in the fishing villages. Married Gjertrud Dorthea Jonsd (Johnsdatter) Berget, born 1863. He and household went away to America. In the first half of the 1890's he was the largest merchant at Yttern, after that he was passed by A. Hansen. The brother, Lars Evanger operated bakery here around 1900." From the Norwegian Bygdeboker for Mo i Rana, Yttern farm.

5: Gjertrud Dorthea Johnsdatter | From the Norwegian Bygdeboker for Mo i Rana, Berget Farm. The translation reads: "Jon Persa (John Pederssen) born around 1837 died 14 May 1868...Married 1860 to Ane Bergitte Johannesd (Johannesdatter) born 16 June 1835. Born: Johanne born 23 June 1860, Peder Olaus born 14 September 1861 (died 19 November 1882), Gjertrud born 1863 (Ytteren), Anne Lydia born 3 January 1865, Johannes born 21 January 1867 (died 23 February 1891)...and John Peder born 23 September 1868.
