10: Connor Scott McCullough, age 17, of Stilwell, KS passed away peacefully at home February 18, 2012 surrounded by his loving family who tenderly offered him into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as he drew his last breath. Connor was a student at St. James Academy and a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish in Wea, KS where he was an altar server for daily Mass during his home schooling years. A standout basketball player, his large 6'8" frame and smooth left-handed 3- point shooting stroke were a sight to behold. But to those who played with and knew him, even more amazing was the soft-spoken, never complaining attitude with which he attacked every obstacle he faced. He felt truly blessed to have had the many friends and wonderful experiences that basketball provided, and he cherished those moments. A loving son and brother, the time he spent with his family was near and dear to his heart, and he loved just hanging out with his brothers shooting hoops, etc. But the main focus of his life, especially as he battled hard against brain cancer, was to learn to trust Jesus Christ with all the details of his life and to encourage others to do the same. His goal was to bring glory to God in life and in death.
