FC: Florida Leadership Academy Class X
1: Letter to FLA | To the Graduates of FLA Class X, First of all, let me congratulate you on demonstrating the persistence and dedication to graduate from the Florida Leadership Academy (FLA). I’d also like to thank you for sharing your experiences, your thoughts and your talents with me, your mentors and all your fellow “FLAers”. If you feel that FLA has helped you grow personally and professionally, I challenge you to take what you’ve learned and pay it forward. There are numerous student organizations and countless other students that could benefit from your leadership and mentorship. Please remember that you are now a member of a prestigious network of FLA alumni. This year we will have nearly 800 graduates of the program that are now in the workforce. These folks are ready, willing and able to assist you if needed. In a couple of years when you graduate from UF, I hope you feel that same responsibility and commitment to other FLA alumni. Finally, I hope the remainder of your undergraduate careers will be filled with academic success and exponential personal and professional growth. It has been my privilege to know you, to advise you and to serve you! Best always, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” -Gandhi
