FC: Gage: The Preschool Years
2009-2010 | Gage is going through a shy phase and is not too happy about pictures this year. By his 2nd birthday he is just starting to really talk and get frustrated when he isn't understood. He has just started gymnastics and seems to enjoy being around the other kids. | This year, Gage started going to daycare full time at the Deer Ridge Learning Centre. It's a bit of an adjustment after spending the better part of a year at home with Mommy, but it isn't long before this hyperactive child is sitting down for an hour to string beads. (daycare teachers are amazing) | 2010-2011
2012-2013 | Gage is in the kindergarten room at daycare this year. He's learning to print at daycare and starting to read at home. His favourite activity is puzzles. | 2011-2012 | Gage continues to learn and grow at daycare. He now speaks well (and far too much) and is frequently described by his teachers as "active".
When Gage found out he was expecting a sibling, he was absolutely convinced that she would be a little sister and would not even entertain the idea of a brother. I guess he knew something we didn't because on February 17, 2012 Gage's little sister Raina was born. Gage has been such a good helper looking after her and playing with her.
 BIG BRO
While Gage didn't have any of his own pets yet, his grandparents were happy to share. Of course that doesn't stop him from wanting to bring home the animals from the zoo.
 Favourite Animal: Elephants
Getting older doesn't seem to have made Gage any less messy. | Maybe that will come in a few more years?
Bathtime | When he first learned to blow his nose, he kept going to get more tissues to practice every 5-10 minutes | Big Boy | He is, however, getting better at cleaning himself up and taking care of himself.
Learning to feed himself was an interesting (and messy) experience | He even helps others eat | Gage's hot dog condiment of choice: snap peas... | Somebody REALLY loves his veggies
At times, Gage has an interesting relationship with his clothes. Getting dressed in the morning isn't necessarily his first priority! | Why can't I go outside? I'm wearing my coat!
Then, of course, the one time he's supposed to be naked, he chooses to leave his clothes on!

More space means we need more help to get the housework done. Thankfully, Gage loves to help out.
Gage disappeared one evening. We were panicking looking for him, worried he had gotten out of the house. This is where he turned up, in Mommy and Daddy's bed. | Gage gets so groggy after falling asleep in the car. He's been known to walk into walls and scream when you take his boots off because he wants to go to bed (we all know you need boots for bedtime). | As a toddler Gage could fall asleep practically anywhere. A wagon makes a great portable bed!

First Tricycle: June 2009 Age 2 | It took Gage a while to get the idea of how to pedal, but once he did it wasn't long until he was riding up and down the street with the neighbours at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
