DAY 1 Delayed for a day in Miami due to the eruption of an Ecuadorian volcano, and very disappointed.

But Lindblat Guide Lynn Fowler (niece of Jim Fowler) made sure we got to Quito, then to Baltra, and finally to Santa Cruz where we enjoyed a resort before boarding the ship.

DAY 2 Here we saw the Island of Floreana where the green sea turtles nest, and many flamingos and other shorebirds live.

Day 3 We loaded into the zodiacs and toured the caves and shoreline near Punta Vicente Roca before snorkeling.

After lunch we crossed over the equator while being entertained by Fausto, Blake and the younger sailors.

Later the same day, we were able to get up close and personal with the wildlife at Punta Espinosa.

This baby sea lion had latched on to another mother as he waited for his to get back. Sea lion mothers will typically not adopt other mother's babies.

Day 4 Peering into one of the two pit craters called Los Gememlos on the most inhabited island of Santa Cruz.

Spending time at the Charles Darwin Research Center and National Park where the giant tortoise breeding program is located. Also home to "Lonesome George".

And ending the day in the highlands in the middle of the tortoise migratory route.....

..... before hanging out at the island's fish market. Please don't touch the animals......

Day 5 On Cerro Dragon, we were fortunate enough to run right into a land iguana which are one of the few animals that are fearful of humans. This one walked up to us and took an interest in our shoes.

Day 6 Our final day with an early morning walk on the volcanic islet of Bartolome.

Down time on the ship with friends, family and Carlos. Thanks to all for making this such an unforgettable trip.

 An unbelievable experience!!!!
