BC: Hugo Solvason March 1, 2003- October 5, 2011 Hugo was a character; he was very expressive with his beautiful eyes, facial expressions and distinctive Boxer talk. He was born in a snow bank in Calgary, AB and lived the first 4 years of his life in Calgary. He loved going on adventures in Fish Creek Park, he even met a porcupine one day! Hugo made several doggy friends in Calgary, namely Roo, Mac, Rider, Kona and Frodo. The last 4 years of his life have been in Saskatoon. Hugo and his best friend, Mission became inseparable. Mission lives about 8 blocks away and missed Hugo so much one day he jumped his fence and ran all the way to Hugo’s house, now that is the power of love! Hugo’s favorite time of year was summer he loved being outside sun tanning in the back yard. The weekends were usually spent at Emma Lake. Every morning he would go for a walk to Neis Beach with Mission and wade through the water, this was one of his favorite places on earth. He was so happy there! Hugo was diagnosed with Lymphoma about one month ago and passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2011. He will be greatly missed by Johann and Natasha, as he has been a constant companion for the past 8 years of our life together, he was our family. We loved him dearly.

21: Don't grieve too long for now I'm free I've followed the path God set for me I ran to Him when I heard His call I swished my tail and left it all. I could not stay another day To bark, to love, to romp or play Games left unplayed must stay that way I found such peace, it made my day. My parting has left you with a void Please fill it with remembered joy A friendship shared, your laugh, a kiss Oh yes, these things I too shall miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow My life's been full, you've given so much Your time, your love and gentle touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief Don't lengthen it now with undue grief Lift up your head and share with me God wanted me, He set me free!
