FC: Iraq

Iraq's appearence is that of a deserted town. The desert like atmosphere and the combination of heat and the violence that goes on there makes Iraq seem to be one of the worst places to go on earth. | The youth and next generation of Iraq have only seen violence, terror, war, and have never seen peace. They should not be growing up accustom to this type of lifestyle.

Iraq, such a beautiful country with a natural yet dry image. Its beauty is overcome by the coutnry's reputation of much terror and violence everyday.

Throughout my life, all I have personally heard of Iraq is how overcome the country is by terrorism and no government. It is hard to believe that a country in such turmoil could possess such beauty and its a shame that that is overlooked because of all the violence that occurs.

After living under a dictatorship, its hard for Iraq to overcome hardship for so long, and the future doesn't look so positive. Even after the fall of Suddam Hussein.

Around the world, people look at Iraq and wonder. As an outsider looking in, it is safe to say that the terror in Iraq labels Iraq as dangerous, inhabitable, and unnatractive. Iraq will continue to have no hope for change when all the countries they ask for support are not willing to deal with not only such a troubled country and people, but a troubled government.

Although Iraq is a poor country with little if any outside support, they do have something that everyone needs. Oil. Without oil, I believe that if Iraq didn't possess the oil that it does that the "war on terror" would have been very short lived. Without oil, Iraq would be in great danger of being overrun and taken over with great involvement from Iran.

Iraq's religion is key in understanding the country that it is.

Although labeled by terror, Iraq does have natural beauty and harmony, but all that is truly overcome by the terror and reputation that Iraq portrays.

From the perspective of an American teenager, Iraq has been and still is one of the biggest problems on the United States' hands. Although the attention has shifted from Iraq to Afghanistan to North Korea, Iraq is still essential for America because there are still soldiers dying there every day with no common purpose. Whether it be oil, terrorism, or an unknown reason, Iraq is still suffering as a country and although we as Americans disagree, Iraq is depending on us right now. The natural beauty Iraq has has always been overcome by the ongoing terror and violence that seems to unfortunately be the only consistent that Iraq has withheld throughout its history as a country in the middle east. It is safe to say that the natural beauty of vast mountains, dry torrain, and faithful people of Iraq will all be always be overcome by the violence that occurs here.
