S: Jason & Lindsay
BC: Family is not always blood. It's the people in your life that want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones that would do anything to see you smile & who love you no matter what.
FC: Jason & Lindsay
1: We are Jason and Lindsay. Our friends and family describe us as a down to earth, fun-loving couple that keeps a positive outlook on life no matter what challenges life brings. We would like to thank you for this opportunity to share our lives and ourselves with you. As we sat down to write this letter, we realized just how hard it is to convey who we are and all that we have to give in such a brief summary. One thing we know for sure is that we are very ready to raise a child together and have the foundation to do so. We can't imagine the emotion and energy it takes to work towards this decision and want you to know we are open to staying in touch with you and sharing pictures and information about your child as well as visits if you so wish. | We are ready and excited to become parents. | Hello & Welcome
2: About Lindsay | I grew up in a small town with a close knit community. As a child I spent the summers outside playing and riding bikes. My sister and I loved trying to scare each other while camping out in our back yard. During my middle school years I became the neighborhood babysitter and never missed an opportunity to play dress up or choreograph a “music video” to present to parents. High School became very busy for me; I got involved in every sport/team and organization I could. I didn’t last long in basketball as I’m only 5’2” but, I became a basketball cheerleader and to this day I still spout out cheers when I’m watching a game. My high school summers were spent camp counseling at a Christian church camp. I had the opportunity to get to know many children during that time and help them grow in their faith as well as mine. I moved away from my hometown 10 years ago to go to college, my plan was to do some traveling before settling down, but I met Jason just a few months before I graduated and suddenly could not imagine my life without him.

She enjoys photography and will be taking lots of snap shots of her niece or nephew.
4: Meet Jason | I was born and raised in a family oriented neighborhood with lots of community activities. My childhood days were filled with playing sports, spending nights with friends and just being a typical boy with the other neighborhood kids. I loved playing board/card games; especially Monopoly. I think that is where I got my “business sense”. I played sports in high school and took on additional interests such as the FFA where I served as president my senior year. I ended up graduating early and decided to get a jump start on college by enrolling in business classes at a community college. After that I found a real joy working in the call center industry. I worked my way from the ground up within local companies and found my strengths in management. I thrive on the success of others and helping them become better at what they do.
5: Grandparents to be | Jason's Mom (Laura) & Stepfather (Cecil). Laura is retired and is looking forward to having a grandchild to spend time with and spoil. | Jason's Dad (Rick) & Stepmother (Penny). He is a skilled chef and is looking forward to showing his niece or nephew around the kitchen. | Jason & paternal grandparents (Marvin & Marg) We have Sunday night dinners at their house 2-3 times per month.
6: We met at a concert 8 years ago. While we were dating we realized how many friends we had in common, and couldn't believe we hadn't met sooner. We instantly became best friends and fell in love. One year later we said vows on a beautiful beach in Jamaica.

8: I will never forget the first time I met Dean. He was a rambunctious 2 year old with a heart of gold. It didn’t take long for us to establish a father/son relationship. When Dean was 5 I completed the necessary steps of adoption. Watching and playing an active role in Dean’s childhood was one of the most amazing opportunities I have ever had a chance to be a part of. We enjoyed spending time together whether it was hunting, fishing, participating in Cub Scouts or playing sports. He was certainly all “boy” and had his fair share of bumps and bruises along the way but seeing the young man he has made himself into today makes me a very proud father and anxious to have experience that again with Lindsay by my side. | Jason talks about Dean | Jason was married once prior to meeting Lindsay. His wife at that time had a son (Dean) who's father was no longer a part of his life. Jason happily took the role of Dad in Dean's life and shared custody of him after the divorce. Dean then came to live with Jason and Lindsay during most of his teenage years. | About | Dean
9: I have known my dad since I was 2 years old. He has been the only father I’ve ever known or wanted to know. He adopted me when I was 5 and when he and my mom divorced he could have easily left me, but he didn’t and I couldn’t be more grateful. I remember when my dad first met Lindsay. I was 13 and I wasn’t sure how our relationship would work since she was only 10 years older than me, but it was kind of cool because when dad and I would butt heads she was able to make us see each other’s points of view. Through the years I grew to love her like a mother. Dad and Lindsay were there to support me in every activity I was involved in. They always made sure to include my mom in activities too. My dad has been the one to push me to do better in school and helped guide me in the direction of the Army after high school. I know when my time is done in the Army he will be there to help me figure out my next step too. Bottom line, I had a great childhood thanks to all of my parents and I know any child that ends up with Dad and Lindsay will be a lucky one. - Dean | Letter from Dean

17: Our Professional Side | "A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in or the kind of car I drove.... but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child" | In June 2008 and after 15 years in the call center industry I started my own tele-services company. I’m happy to say by starting the business it has assisted growth for our clients whiling providing jobs for many local residents. I’m able to manage my business from home which gives me great flexibility when it comes to childcare during the day. | Jason | Lindsay | I am the manager of a promotional products distributing company. I help businesses locally, nationally and internationally find ways to promote their company with branded items. I'm very lucky to have supportive co-workers and management that allow me great flexibility in my schedule. I know that will really help when adjusting to a baby in our family.
18: I knew Lindsay would be a great Mom from the moment I met her! She has a smile that brightens up my day and a personality that welcomes those around her. She is never shy for conversation and enjoys making people smile and laugh. She has a playful heart, and I know she will pass along this playfulness to our child. She has already been a great step-mother to Dean. | Lindsay is meant to be a mother (by Jason) | Top 5 thing Lindsay looks forward to: 1. Cuddling 2. Bedtime stories 3. Trick-or-treating 4. Cooking together 5. Family vacations | Lindsay hanging out with some of our friends' kids
19: I like to say it is because he himself is just a big kid!Jason knows how to have a good time. Kids seem to flock to him because he plays, jokes and just all around has a good time with them. Not only has Jason proved he is a good father with the success of Dean, for 8 years now he has been a Big Brother in the Big Brother's Big Sisters Organization. He has such a loving heart and really cares for his little brother. A few times out of the month he and his "little" go to the movies, bowling, or sometimes just rent video games, hang out and eat pizza. Jason has a knack for knowing when kids need attention, direction and encouragement. I have seen his "little" as well as Dean grow both personally and scholastically with Jason's encouragement. There is not a doubt in my mind that Jason will be an AMAZING father. I cannot wait to share the experience of raising a child with him. | Top 5 things Jason looks forward to: 1. 20: Thoughts on Parenting | We believe in being actively involved in education. What a child is taught in school is only a small piece of their education. It’s our responsibility to teach them the moral and ethical values that we believe in. We want learning to be fun and we want him or her to discover what subjects they enjoy the most. We also want to instill in them good values and character: to be thoughtful and caring to others, enjoy life and to pursue whatever they do with passion, creativity and of course humor. | We will also encourage participation in other activities, whether it be music, sports, arts, theatre, dance, or anything else their heart desires.
21: Thank you | We know that having a baby will change our lives completely and we have a lot of learning to do, however, at the end of the day we know we have a gift for finding the fun side of things. Facing life with a positive attitude and embracing the wonder of small things. We are not perfectionists and we meet bumps in the road with good humor and a commitment to make things work out well. Thank you for your consideration. We hope by looking at our photos and reading about our lives you have found comfort in knowing how much we want to share our lives with a child. If you would like to speak with us about adopting your child or have any questions please contact us at 319-310-4159 or firstname.lastname@example.org Jason & Lindsay | We promise to give your child a life full of laughter, love and encouragement.
