Dear Friend, Let us begin by thanking you. Thank you for making this wonderful sacrifice and giving a couple like us the opportunity to love and raise a child. We are certain this is a very difficult decision for you. It is an amazing and selfless act of love to care for this baby until it is born and then bless both the baby and us by choosing an adoption plan. You are doing a heroic thing! We hope this book will help you get to know us as a couple. Even though we have struggled with infertility, we know we are more than blessed to have each other and we know God uses adoption in amazing ways. We want you to know that we don't see adoption as a "Plan B." We strongly believe that God has called us to be adoptive parents and we know He will provide a child for us. This is "Plan A!" If God places it on your heart to allow us to raise the child you're carrying, we promise to raise it in a house full of love, joy, and faith. Again, we can't thank you enough for loving this child and making such a wonderful decision. We promise to follow in your footsteps by loving and caring for the child for the rest of our lives. All our best, Justin & Kim
I suppose we should start at the beginning! Kim was born in Philadelphia in 1980 as the youngest of three sisters. She lived in Delaware until she was 12 years old, when her family moved to South Florida, where they still live today. | Sisters: Carrie, Kate, Kim | First day of school | Kim
Justin | Jessica (sister) and Justin | Justin playing soccer | Justin was born in Washington D.C. in 1978. His older sister Jessica has just turned 5 years old when he was born. Justin grew up in northern Virginia and lived in the same house until he was 19 years old. His family now lives in northern and central Florida.
Our Story... | We met in March 1998 in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Both of us were guests at a wedding. Justin was a sophomore in college and Kim was a senior in high school. Justin can still remember seeing Kim for the first time. She was wearing a pretty flowered dress and holding a basket of wedding programs. Kim remembers thinking Justin was so cute! 6: Wedding Day! We were married in Raleigh, NC on July 1, 2006. God richly blessed our wedding day. We had journeyed a long time towards this day and were so excited to join our lives together. It was a wonderful way to share God's love for us and our love for each other with those who are closest to us.
We had so much fun with our friends and family at our wedding. We are best friends, partners, and teammates. We look back at this day and clearly see that "two became one."
My husband Justin (written by Kim) Justin is the most wonderful man I have ever known. He is a man of faith, integrity, great compassion, gentleness and patience. He loves me so openly and completely. I am very thankful that I get to be his wife! He is a devoted friend and a great listener. One of the things I have admired most about Justin is his love for people. He remembers birthdays, stops to visit friends on road trips, keeps in contact with everyone and prays constantly for our family and friends. I have been waiting for the day that I get to see him absolutely shine as a dad. He is so excited to love and care for our future kids. I am blessed to have this incredible man as my husband.
My wife Kim (written by Justin) I am married to an absolutely amazing woman. Kim is one of those people you hear about who "lights up a room." As her husband, I routinely see how people gravitate toward her. Her joy is contagious and while she's incredibly gifted, she never takes herself too seriously. She is a dedicated, patient, and loving wife, and I can't wait to see her as a mother. Marrying Kim was the best decision I ever made. I love her more and more as each day goes by.
We both place a high value on education. Kim has an undergraduate degree in Biology and a Ph.D. in Microbiology. Justin's undergraduate degree was in Electrical Engineering, he has a master's degree in Public Administration, and he recently graduated from law school. Kim currently works in science education and Justin is beginning his job in the office of general counsel within the U.S. Department of Justice. | From 2000-2009, Justin served as an officer in the US Air Force. He was an engineer who was stationed in Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, Turkey, and West Virginia. He traveled extensively during this time, including a trip to Saudi Arabia and three trips to Qatar. Justin is very proud to have served, but is also excited about all that God has planned for him in his career in law.

We recently bought a home in northern Virginia. It is a 3 level townhouse with lots of space to grow into with kids! We have fun, caring neighbors and a beautiful community with parks, running trails, and a lake close by that we can walk to from our house. We are now working on getting the nursery ready to go! (bottom right)
There is a lake, playgrounds, carousel, and miniature golf course in our neighborhood community. We love spending time here and are excited about enjoying these with our kids. | There are also many museums, parks, and educational opportunities in the Washington D.C. area. Kim plans to be a stay-at-home mom and we both look forward to raising a family here.
We are so excited to meet our child! We have always wanted to add children to our family. We want to provide our children with a structured home full of support, joy, and above all else, love. We aren't perfect, but we'll do everything in our power to ensure that each of our children grows up with the assurance that God loves them, we love them, and that you love them.
