3: My girls. November 7, 1997, I'm ready to take my little ladies home. Kendall's original due date was November 5th. Nana flew into town on the 4th to be present for the birth of Kendall (we didn't know she was Kendall at the time). At about 5:00am on November 6th I went into labor and headed to the hospital with Nana. I was ready to have Kendall, but upon our arrival I was placed in a room where the nurses would asses my progress. The nurses were changing shifts and I knew by the time they checked on me it was going to be time to take action. Sure enough, the nurse finally checked me and found me at 8 centimeters. I was rushed to a room and the doctor was called. Just in time for Dr. Rhode's arrival I was ready. Dr. Rhode changed how I was positioned and thank goodness he did. After experiencing back labor and the reality that it was too late for any drugs, I gave one very strong push and Kendall greeted us all at once. No stopping at the shoulders for this one!! She was and still is absolutely beautiful!!! | I just have to touch her mom... She's my baby sister. | Beautiful Day
