FC: Spring by: Khalil Moore

My scrapbook is about spring. I chose to make it about spring because I feel i can relate to the season. Another reason I chose to write about the season spring is because i feel the season spring is bipolar and I myself can sometimes be bipolar. So these are my reasons for writing about the season spring. HOPE YOU ENJOY MY BOOK!

English Sonnet: An English Sonnet is a fourteen line poem that has 3 quatrains (a four line rhyming stanza) and 1 couplet (a pair of rhyming lines).

Bipolar Spring The season that can describe me is spring One minute I'm hot then the next I'm cold I am spring, I am Lil, I am a king The king could be hated but never sold One minute the sun shines then the next the wind blows The next day the news says that rain should come A week later there is a breeze that flows Next it's sun but no one knows where it's from Today it's a beautiful sunny day Yesterday dark, horrible, and rainy Today I can say it is really May Yesterday the rain made my day painy I am the definition of spring time One minute I'm a cool guy, next a slime

Tanka: A tanka contains a single image filled with emotion that is wrote in a rigorous form of lines 1 and 3 having five syllables and lines 2, 4, and 5 having seven syllables.

Spring Time Sitting on the steps I feel the beautiful breeze The sun shines, wind blows It feels wonderful today I can say spring time is here

Free Verse: A free verse is a poem that doesn't use a regular meter or rhyme scheme but tries to imitate the natural rhythms of speech. In other words free verse is poetry with out a pattern.

Free Spring Spring, spring is corresponding to me. Spring is bipolar and has crazy mood swings. Sometimes it is the sun. Sometimes it is the snow. Sometimes the season is furious humid, and sunny. Then spring is gloomy, depressed, and rainy. Spring is a soft mattress because spring is mainly a comfortable season. In this period of spring, you never can be to sure of what type of weather the season will bring. The season spring is the right season to be in for sure. I am spring.

Author Study: Christopher hope is a South African novelist and poet who is known for his controversial works dealing with racism and politics in South Africa. He served in the South African Navy beginning in 1962. Hope married Eleanor Marilyn Margaret Klein February 18, 1967. The couple would eventually divorce. Hope worked briefly as a journalist. His autobiographical piece, White Boy Running (a book), chronicles this time of Hope's life. Christopher Hope was born in Johannesburg, South Africa to Dudley Mitford and Kathleen Margaret Hope. Hope was educated at the University of Witwatersrand and the University of Natal. As an Afrikaner in South Africa, Hope questioned the special treatment of Caucasians in the country. These feelings would eventually work their way into Hope's most famous writings. His style of writing was simple. He wrote in regular fonts and there was nothing special about the way he wrote. What was special was the things he talked about in his writings.

Write-like: Is it right the way these people are treated in our place of being? They shouldn't even be allowed to stay in our territory. I say this because of the things those people did to us African's. They don't care for us. They treat us as if we are animals. As if we have no knowledge and are not people. Think about the harsh things those people did to us then answer this question, is it right the way these people are treated in our place of being?

Explanation of why I chose my author: I chose my author Christopher Hope because I feel the things he writes about in his writings are important to us as blacks. He spoke on real things he actually saw in his country and I feel that it is important to read about the way Caucasians were treated in South Africa. It is important to me because that is history and has history behind it. This is why I chose my author Christopher Hope.
