BC: HAPPY BIRTHDAY from a few of your biggest fans!!
FC: Kristin McAuliffe Stanifer
Kristin, Our wish for you on this special birthday is that the memories and stories that follow would remind you just how special you are and how much we all love you! Happy 40th Birthday. March 21, 2014
Kris, Happy 40th! I think you look at least 18. Hugs and kisses... Love Dad | No matter how old you are, you will always be my little girl. Remember when I hit you in the eye with the deck tennis ball? I am still sorry.
A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY from all of us!!!
The photo of you at 3 months old was taken at Seaside. Always my favorite picture. A curly 2 year old brought much joy to Oma and Opa. With love, "Auntie" Merle
I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you ... Michelle | SUMMER FUN AT THE SHORE!
One summer while I was recuperating from a surgery at the McAuliffes, Kristin, who was about 2 at the time, would come downstairs every morning to the den where I was staying and we would do a nosey-nosey. It was our way to start the day. | One summer at the Shore, a young teen age boy who was keen on Christine, came to the house at 6:30 one morning. Of course, Kristin, about 5 years old at the time, was up and bouncing around. She answered the door, invited Kevin in, told him Christine was still asleep (as were the rest of us), but would he like to play cards or checkers. Sure, he said. The two really got into the game and woke up everyone. Naturally Christine got in trouble for having a friend over so early! | The summer that the song "Here I Am, the One That You Love" was top of the charts, Michelle taught Kristin the words and all summer Kristin was running through the house singing "Here I Am, the One That You Love". It was too adorable. | Bobbi & Art
 So cute!!
Your natural beauty on display long before it captivated me! Mark
The spring time of young love! Yours Truly!
 The JCU crew
It has been a wonderful 21 years and it is lovely to know that we have been able to maintain contact all these years. Most of my memories are interlinked with InterVarsity. I found a home with that group and I am forever grateful to God that I also met you. | I remember learning how to be a God-fearing woman and wife from watching you. I remember our bible studies and playing cards with both our Marks. | Mark and I will always remember visiting you in Columbus before and after you were married and enjoying Pillsbury cinnamon rolls in the morning. You introduced both of us to the Saturn brand of car and then we both ended up with one. I hope that we will continue our friendship for the next 21 plus years. May God continue to bless you in the many years to come! Mary and Mark Madeja
Dear Kris, aka Little Foot, Roommie, Happy 40th Birthday friend! Welcome to the 40 and mature group! I must say I know you were always a year younger but always so wise and mature. I have been blessed by your friendship and think of you as a sister. Your relationship to Christ has always spoken volumes to me. Your kindness, thoughtfulness, gentle spirit and leadership has ministered to me.
I think back often of our time together in college and the fun memories we shared. I smile when I think about your Dad listening to one of our tapes and working out to Ace of Base and Milli Vanilli. I laugh when I think about doing aerobics in the room and singing with a microphone. I'm humbled by your servant heart and generous spirit. I remember getting the same laptop as you thinking it was so cool and being amazed that you grew up not watching TV or even wanting to plan your college classes around soap operas! | We shared some memorable moments through Inter Varsity and retreats and going to church at Parkside with Alistair Begg. I remember our room always having an open door and neighbors coming to visit and chat all day/night. I have been encouraged by your relationship with Mark - High school sweet hearts who taught me a lot about being a golden retriever and the 5 Love Languages. Thanks for being an amazing person Kris. You may be younger but I have always looked up to you. May God continue to bless you and those around you. Lots of love, Rory (ETIWIF)
 New Family
Kristin, your parents say you were a perfect child – however, we have heard that your babysitters might have a different story to tell! You are an awesome wife and mom – loving, caring, patient, gentle – however, your father-in-law has been very amused by the reaction Coby gets when he is successful in pushing your buttons!! Before you and Mark were married you went with us on a family trip for the wedding of Uncle Mike and Aunt Jackie. Your future mom-in-law was to wake you in the morning. When she opened the door and called, you just popped up in bed – all sunshine and smiles!! For someone that to this day awakes in a fog – it was amazing!! You have brought sunshine and joy to us!!! We love you so much Kris!! HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY to you!! Dad & Mom Stanifer
 REMEMBER THESE ...
 ... SPECIAL TIMES?
So many fun moments with one of our favorite people. Our friendship started over 14 years ago after long nights of laughing, talking, dreaming and praying together. Hanging out with Kristin is so easy, especially when she was on bed rest. We've enjoyed so many special moments such as seeing Sara come off the plane for the first time and the surprise of having your moms and friends there to greet you or being one of the first people to hold our newborns. There have been lots of silly moments as well, but most of them happened on the many vacations we've taken as families or as couples. Can we say Casino Nights? Kristin, we hope that this is a great 40th birthday and we wish you nothing but happiness and blessings. Jen and Mark
 FUN TIMES!
Remember when we all joked about the swing set in your back yard? The days of anyone using that swing set seemed so far off (except for the one time Ben Forgrave tried to flip on the swing and landed on his head!) Fast forward too many years to count and those very kids, who then seemed so far off, are now headed into high school! Wow! We so appreciate the transparent way that you and Mark live, your willingness to “do life” with those around you. We have enjoyed and look forward to many more years of long conversations about the big stuff - the hard stuff that comes with marriage, raising kids, and being in this world, but not of it. As we have transitioned from the Young Marrieds, through the Veach years, into the Scholtz years, and eventually beyond we are blessed to call you friend! May you have the most amazing 40th birthday ever! All our Love, Jen & Doug Adkins | Our earliest memories of you, Kristin, center around our very first small group experience. You and Mark invited us to join the Young Marrieds group that you were hosting. To say it was intimidating would be an understatement, however you made us feel welcome with snacks, hospitality, and kindness.
At our family trip to the UP, Kristin and I sat out in the shallow lake in lounge chairs, it was a sweet memory, Kristin is a person you can simply "be" with and relax. - Twyla | Only Cadillac I ever owned I bought from Kristin and I'm pretty sure she had it trained to squeal at the most embarrassing times in the high school parking lot, kept me humble! - Chris | During my days at Mount Vernon, I stopped by my brother's room on an open dorm night. I was a little surprised that the door wasn't open, it was only cracked. So being the good brother I just let myself in and I have no idea what Kristin was doing to him but they moved away from each other really fast. And he's been letting her do it to him ever since....go Mark! - Chris | We were all sitting around at Mark and Kristin's house and all of the sudden Kristin shot out if her seat and took Coby down....he was getting ready to make a bad choice, it was awesome, scared me to death but my money is on Kristin. Now I know why their kids behave so well! - Twyla
I remember Kris and the boys coming over to shovel snow before you moved. It was such a blessing. Sometimes she would be shoveling alone in the evening and when I asked her about this she said "I love to shovel snow. Mark is with the kids so I have some alone time, get some fresh air after being in the house all day, and great exercise." | Kris, you are such a blessing - so kind, generous and unselfish. There are two things that always stood out---- | Kris would always ask me if there was anything I needed done. She never hesitated to say "Mark will be happy to do that for you!" | THE BLESSING OF FRIENDS
I love that God used soccer that year to bring us together, and how interesting that neither of our boys played past that season. It has been a true blessing to be able to share my ups and downs, requests and praises with such a godly woman. You are a true prayer warrior and your love of Christ shines in every area of your life. I enjoy each time we get together and always leave with gratitude for our friendship. Kristin, on this birthday I pray that you would know how much we love and appreciate you. I know we don't see you as often as we would like, but I hope you know I consider you a dear friend. My prayer for you is this..."that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17-19 Love, Amanda | I will never forget the day that I met you, Kristin. I was standing on the sidelines of a soccer field in Gahanna as Andrew and Cody practiced. You have such a wonderful way of engaging people in conversation and I remember you approaching me. The rest is history.
Hey Mom! You know what one of my favorite memories of you is? Actually I don't remember it at all. But I am told that I enjoyed the hospital crackers more than my new baby brother! Anyway, I wanted to give you a very belated ‘thank you’, for letting me eat those crackers. P.S. Thanks for the brother too!
Hey mom. One of my many special memories of you comes from just last May. I was and still am thankful for a free taxi service to drive me to rehearsals, recitals, classes, and more rehearsals, recitals, and classes. I am soooooooo thankful to be able to call you my mom and chauffeur. Thank you so much!
Mom, I don't remember when you came to Guatemala to bring me home, but I'm so glad you did. Thank you for taking me back to show me what it is like.
Hi Mom. We all want to thank you for being willing to drive all the way to Tennessee by yourself so we could hang out with our friends. You drove over 14 hours that week, not including our time in Tennessee! | It means a lot, and we sure had a great time, thanks to you. We love you Mom! - Sara, Andrew & Jacob
