2: We decided to find out whether you were a girl or a boy before you arrived. I was anxious to have everything ready as I was trying to be as prepared as possible for life with two little ones. It was fun knowing that you were a boy, I felt like we bonded a little more during pregnancy.
3: We found out we were pregnant in May of 2009. Your dad had just finished working on the high rise downtown and had the summer to spend with us before he started his next new adventure at Live Oak Construction. We found out together on your dad's birthday and knew for a couple of days before celebrating his birthday with the whole family at the lakehouse. I made Grant a t-shirt that said "Big Brother" and had him wear it underneath his clothes. After lunch we had Mima and CiCi "change his clothes" it only took them a minute to read Grant's shirt and realize you were on your way!

5: We are all ready to meet you, Kyle Scott! This picture was taken just days before delivery. I had an easy and mostly comfortable pregnancy and we scheduled our c-section for the 29th of January. Grant was born on the 29th of April so we thought the 29th sounded great for you too! I was so excited to meet you, I could not sleep well at the night before your birthday and got up very early that morning and wrote you this little note...
6: January 29th, 2010 It was so exciting coming to the hospital that morning knowing that within the hour we would have you in our arms! It was truly a birthday party with everyone on hand to celebrate!

16: It's official! We are ready to take you home. We enjoyed getting to spend some time getting to know you at the hospital. Here are some of our first impressions... | Your Dad and I had so much fun wondering at all the ways that God made you unique and special. The first thing I remember hearing as you were delivered is "Where does the red hair come from?" I thought, a red head, really? I'm so thankful for the reminder that you are your own man. Even though I have two boys, you are both created as individuals. We noticed that your cry was so tiny and quiet (later to change) and you startled at every loud noise and bright light. If I had to guess, I would have said you'll be the sweet and sensitive type. We'll see...

29: Kyle Scott Nunnelly Dedicated to the Lord on November 26, 2010 Blanco Chapel ~ Kyle, Texas
30: Kyle’s Dedication Introduction Chapel History – In 1865, Major Ezekiel Edward Nance built a masonry structure of native limestone with walls 18 inches thick to serve both as a school and church. Nance was the owner of a cotton mill and meatpacking facility, which provided coarse cotton and meat to the Confederacy. Inside of the building, carved in rock over the opening of the fireplace, is a star and the word "Wisdom." This place is particularly important today because we chose to name Kyle after this very special place Kristen and Lori were baptized here. Dennis’ ashes were spread here on the grounds of this chapel. This place has been special to Kristen and has been filled with family tradition from weddings to annual Christmas services, family picnics, etc. Purpose -As parents, Kristen and I want to express our desire with our family that we want to raise Grant in accordance with the Word of God. -We also want to ask that you, being the most valued people in our lives, would help us to do this for Kyle by speaking Truth, praying for us and him, and leading him through your Godly example. Special Thanks to Grandparents – for the legacy of faith and family they have given to us “From everlasting to everlasting, the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him, His righteousness is with their children’s children.” Psalm 103:17 Pat Prayer for Scott and Kristen Kristen Ephesians 3:16-19 “I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Lord, we pray right now that Kyle would come to know you and have a meaningful, deep relationship with you as he influences and impacts his world. We pray that his name would be written in your book of life. Soften his heart unto you, Lord. We pray that he would love you, Lord, and love others as you have commanded. James 1:2 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to him. Lord, we pray for Kyle right now, that you would impart wisdom, knowledge, and understanding unto him that he may know you at a young age. We pray for Kristen and I, that you would impart wisdom, knowledge, and understanding unto us as parents. James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. Lord, I pray that you would bring Godly men and women of integrity who surround Kyle so that when he sins, or he is deceived, he may be able to find healing through open and honest confession. Lamentations 3:40 Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD. Lord, I pray that as Kyle grows and matures, he would examine and test his actions with a community of believers, so that he may grow close to you, Lord. Songs I Exalt Thee. 32: KYLE | I want to be sure you know the story of your name. We chose to name you after a very special place to us, the Blanco Chapel in Kyle, Texas. We knew that you would be named Kyle so we didn't care to know the official meaning of your name because it was already significant to us. One day, I was looking for a book of names that belonged to CiCi when she was pregnant with me. I quickly glanced at your name before putting the book in the mail to Lori only to discover it actually means "chapel". How sweet God is to have let me see that! I pray that your heart will be a sanctuary, just like the little chapel, filled with worship as you come to understand the love of our Father in Heaven.

39: Milestones, Favorite Things, Nicknames and Observations Here are some of the highlights from your first year... One Month~ Just being cute! Two Months~ You began to smile, you are in the 75%. Very snuggly. Three Months~ You laughed, just a little chuckle but on purpose! Four Months~ You started sucking your thumb. It didn't last. You rolled over. Five Months~ You sat up all by yourself. Six Months~ You are so interested in everything Grant does. Seven Months~ You got to take a bath with Grant, y'all love bathtime! You also got your first teeth. Eight Months~ You started crawling, it's gametime. Now you can get to Grant's toys. Nine Months~ You can stand up all by yourself. You have started saying "mama & dada" Dada became your first word that you meant. Ten Months~ Your first steps!! Eleven Months~ You love crawling up the stairs, especially when you think no one is watching! Twelve Months~ You started walking really well, right at your birthday. Thirteen Months~ You started giving kisses! You are gentle, sensitive and strong. You are adventurous, curios and determined. I sometimes call you the gentle giant. You are so sensitive when it comes to emotions but so tough when it comes to physical things. You can tumble and get rolled over and not even blink an eye! But a firm "No" will send you for a tailspin. You get so excited when we head toward Grant's room, you smile and flap your arms around like crazy. Grant thinks everything you do is so funny! And he always says, "I'm so proud of you Kyle" when you learn something new. Y'all are going to have so much fun together! As a baby you had a hard time sleeping. I think you have a strong will. we'll see. You were such an easy and happy baby other than the sleep issue. Up until a year or so, you went with the flow and were mostly content. After that, you had a mind of your own, and there's nothing wrong with that! I think its a phase too. At 18 months now, you are getting more words and keeping up with the big kids. You and I definitely have a strong connection. I love it! Nicknames: Screecher Creature- you got this nickname due to your lack of volume control and you desire to communicate Kyle Mile-When we'd be in the car, your car seat was facing backwards so that I couldn't see you. I would ask Grant what you were doing and he'd always say "Kyle mile" which meant "Kyle is smiling!"
41: Letter from Mom & Dad | Kyle Scott Nunnelly, You are a true joy. A gentle and pure spirit and we pray for all of God's sweetest blessings on your life. We are so excited to go on this journey of life with you and we pray for God's wisdom and His grace as we do our best to guide you in His love and will for your life. We hope you know there is nothing you could do or say that would change our love for you. Our hearts are absolutely full. You continue to bring joy, wonder, laughter and fun to every day. God is using you and Grant both to grow us and refine us and make us more like Jesus.
