S: Cruise September 3-11, 2011

BC: The question is.... When are we going back??

FC: Cruise September 3-11, 2011 | VACATION

We left early on JP's birthday for Galveston, TX. We wanted to get there in time to watch some football and maybe fit in a little shopping. | We had an awesome waiter. He brought us some free food, including yummy cake for his birthday! | We finally found some football. YEA!

While the guys watched some football, we decided to walk across the street to see what kind of seashells we could find.

Hat shopping at MURDOCHS | We were laughing at these '4 person bikes'. They were everywhere. | and finally decided on our purchases.

It was J.P.'s birthday and he wanted to eat at Saltgrass that evening. I think everyone really liked it. | I had to take this picture just because of what it was called. Ha ha | Rain, Rain Go Away.........

Come Again Some Other Day! | Our ship was delayed because of rain, so we decided to go have a bite to eat at Chili's. We're hoping we travel to sunnier weather soon. | We could see our ship from our room.

Well, it didn't listen...... still raining. | Quite a bit of wind came along with the rain.

some blackjack. Krista and I had a few laughs people-watching. That's usually very entertaining. | While stuck inside, Kayla decided to try her luck at

Just hangin out on the ship, passing the time with a little bingo and just acting goofy! | Leonard was having fun entertaining himself with my camera. | We got a break from the rain long enough to check out the big movie screen outside. Pretty cool.

 Off to dinner!

 Finally....

 the SUN!!!!

 The Ship.....CONQUEST

This is the view from where we were laying out. | We enjoyed listening to 'Cool Runnings' play their Jamaican type music.

 Our first stop. . . . | JAMAICA | beautiful

Waiting at my favorite, peaceful place on the ship to port in Jamaica. | Our first excursion...

We loaded up on a bus for a short ride to the all inclusive beach resort.

Krista and Kayla looking for just the right spot. | We knew it was gorgeous the minute we got off the bus.

Kayla and I decided to be adventurous and try some kayaking. | We had to steer our kayak between this rope on the left and the big rocks on the right. No problem!!

Robb, Leonard, J.P. and Krista were cheering us in.... hoping we wouldn't get stuck. | There was someone stuck out on some rocks. We thought they were waving 'hello' to us, but they were telling us not to get stuck.

Robb, Krista, Kayla and I enjoyed a nice ride on a catamaran. We were a little grossed out because our guide reached down, put some salt water in his mouth and then later spit it out. Not sure what all that was about!?!?

Then it was off to a yummy buffet. | We called this guy the 'blue drink guy'. He wore a blue shirt and was known for his blue drinks.

There were these 3 hot guys finally waving these chicks to come over. hee hee | Leonard having a little too much fun with my camera..... again!!!

We even got rain in Jamaica...yuck!!! But we made the best of it. | Leonard and J.P. answered a music question. The D.J. was shocked and said no one had ever answered correctly. He later brought over a bottle of rum. We were cracking up. | this D.J. started playing music like "Here comes the Rain Again", "Purple Rain", "It's Raining Men" and so on. He had a great sense of humor. | As soon as it started raining

 What a great time we had. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

 The Border | . . . . . . . .despite the rain!

Next stop.... | the Cayman Islands

Look how beautiful the color of water. | This is the Cayman Islands at night. We had to make an emergency stop the night before Jamaica to drop someone off for medical reasons.

Our ship was out with a Royal Caribbean ship. | It was too shallow for the ship to go up to the island, so we had to take little boats to and from the ship.

They even had a dunkin' donuts. Actually, lots of American fast food places. | It was pretty crowded on the buses. They even had seats that flipped out in the isles. Not sure how safe this was. | Our driver was trying to freak out the driver in front of us by getting as close as he could.

Saw lots of iguanas on the way. | This was our guide telling us what to expect when we are with the stingrays.

It seemed as if the iguanas had taken over.

 Getting it all figured out.

Several miles from the island, in the middle of the ocean, was a sandbar. | It was only about 3 feet deep. | As the stingrays hear the boat coming up, they start to flock the area. | We were told they were like puppies, loving the attention. | AMAZING!!!!!!!

Surprisingly enough, J.P. even got in on the fun. This fish below came over to visit too.

As they would swim by, they would rub up against your legs.

We even got to hold them. | Aaron | Paul | Angelique

This stingray came up to me, stopped and rested on my foot and I wondered why. I soon found out..... she thought my toenail polish was food. Yikes!! | Interesting fact: The males don't get big at all. The females are the big ones, averaging 5 feet in diameter. | Off to do some snorkeling......

This is where we snorkeled. You can see the barrier reef. Just on the other side it dropped off 3,000 feet!!

These were everywhere. Every time it would catch my eye and I thought it was a | beautiful fish. It was beautiful, it just wasn't a fish.

This was the opening we had to go through to get back.

Just some of the beautiful houses along the water before we stopped. | I believe most of these houses were selling for around $5 million.

 Back to the ship

Next stop...... | Uh... nice, Leonard | We were greeted by some unusual creatures | Long walk down the pier

Ok, when they say Twister... they mean TWISTER!!!!! | We had no idea what we were in for. | Our awesome leaders... Jorge and Wilburt

Wilburt taking us out for a wild ride | Jorge explaining what was getting ready to happen | This was the 'slow, dry' way of getting to the island

Pictures just don't do the beauty of it any justice!!!

Wilburt would have us count down from ten. At one, he waved his hand in a circle. Then the fun began.

I think this picture says it all!!!

 J.P. | Leonard & Kayla | Leonard & Velicia

I think we had arrived in

Then in was off to claim our spot on this beautiful beach! | When we got to the island, the guy next to us said that it didn't matter how long he lived, he would never see a more beautiful place! | We started to walk out here and we were quickly stopped and told this area was exclusively for weddings. The white sand had just been raked.

 J.P.

accompanied by some locals... ha ha | We had a wonderful lunch buffet

Robb got a view he wasn't expecting | This lady's swimsuit bottoms kept coming down when she jumped up | Finally!! | Hilarious!!! | These ladies dropped their plastic cups in the water, so Robb went over to pick up their trash. He | had no idea what he was getting in to. Next thing you know, they were having him help them up in the raft. A couple of them were having quite a hard time getting up there. We were all watching from the shore cracking up!

A dragonfly landed on Krista's arm

This was one of the two people we saw who actually made it across without falling off.

We saw some people getting really cool shells. We asked where they found them and they told us that you just dig around with your hands and feet and there were all sorts of shells further below. | So here we all are digging for shells. Kinda funny. We did find some cool stuff.

 Some of our 'loot'!

Time to say goodbye to paradise.

Time to get wet again... | SOAKED! | I mean

We honestly had the very BEST guides on this excursion!!

They sprayed us down with fresh water to rinse the salt water off before getting out of the boat

A few last minute pictures before leaving | Yes, he's real....

We LOVED the crew that was assigned to us | IDewa - Bali Assistant waiter | Freddy - Indonesia Drink waiter | Michael Head waiter | Paul Cruise director

Putu - Phillipines Steward | These were Putu's creations that were waiting for us in our room each evening.

Oh, what fun we had at dinner! | IDewa was quite the dancer!!

He even had the table next to us up dancing

Fast Freddy | Got to watch the 1st game of the NFL season on the big screen out on the deck | Fun pics of the ship

The wind finally calmed down enough on the last day to open the slide

J.P. and Leonard playing some basketball on the last day.

Midnight buffet...YUM! | and yes, rain on the last day... | YUCK!!

 Coming in to Galveston

We had quite a wait on the ship to get off. Just what we expected. | Actually, I am not supposed to have this picture. This is where we came back into the United States. They stopped me quickly in the middle of taking the picture. NOT ALLOWED....oops!!

On our way back to our car to head home. What a fabulous time we had! I hope we get to do it again before too long!
