65: Letter | Dear Lisa, I don’t know how it’s already been four years since we met. But then again, it also feels like I’ve known you for a lifetime. I am so grateful that God wanted me to share my college experience with you, and I am convinced that your friendship is what made Pepperdine so incredible. I can remember so many times that we laughed until we cried and cried until we laughed. And even after countless adventures in Malibu and around the world (some of which I’m honestly surprised we lived through), I wouldn’t trade anything for our fireside chats or nights of stargazing on the roof of the MANsion. We could talk about anything at all—God, school, questions about the future, boys, memories or struggles—without judgment or hesitation. You always gave me your honest opinion, held me accountable, and challenged me to grow in my faith. Lisa, you are a beautiful woman of God and such an indescribable blessing in my life. I never knew just how much God can work and reveal Himself through friendships until I met you. And I can’t wait to see what He shows us in the future! As you embark on a new adventure to Korea, know that you are constantly in my prayers. I know that God has huge and incredible things in store for you, and I am praying that He will absolutely overwhelm you with his love, peace, joy and compassion this year. I am so thankful to have you not only as a friend but as a sister in Christ forever and ever. I love you, Lisa! Your best friend, Chelsey P.S. You owe me a shilling.
