High School Graduation, i remember it like it was yesterday. It was the beginning of the rest of my life. There was so much ahead of me....it lead me to where I am now. There were tears and there were laughs. It will always be a day that will always be a milestone.
Longwood University, out in the middle of nowhere Virginia. This was the beginning of my new life not as a child. I wanted to learn all i could about history and being a teacher. i wanted too make a difference and Longwood was the place to do that.
College Graduation Day was one of those days i felt on top of the world. I worked my heart out and my butt off to accomplish everything I did. I was so proud to walk across that stage in front of my family and friends with the knew knowledge and experience I had. I was ready to face the world
Getting my teaching certificate was such an exciting day for me! My childhood dream was finally coming true. I could start making a difference in lives of children. It didn't matter to me whether they were just starting out and learning new things or if I had to prepare them for the real world. I just wanted to help and receiving this got me one step closer to that.
Traveling the country was so wonderful. I learned so many things. One thing was that Seattle really does have the BEST coffee!
After working so hard for the past 4 years I wanted to take a break. I packed up a truck with a few of my closest friend and we took a roadtrip. A few of my favorite places were: Savannah, GA Nashville, TN NOLA Seattle, WA Bar Harbor, ME Laguna Beach, CA and New York City
Sometimes after living in the same town for most of your life you just want a change of scenery. After traveling and being in so many new towns I wanted to experience a new kind of life. So i picked a place and decided to spend a year in Connecticut. It was absolutely beautiful and i enjoyed my time there. Even though i loved it there it made me realize that my hometown will always be dear to my heart
Getting engaged was probably one of the single, most happiest days of my life. I was ready to start a life with someone i loved and it was happening. I was ready to start the family chapter of my life.
The day i was finally offered a permanent teaching job i was ecstatic. i could finally have my own "kids" to deal with. I could stop being a substitute or a temporary fill in. I could finally make my own lesson plans and teach the way i wanted to. I was excited to see what kind of "reputation" I was going to have. Would I be one of those teachers kids loved? After getting engaged and getting the teaching job I was on cloud 9. the rest of the year
My wedding day was the second happiest day of my life, besides getting engaged of course! I married a man i truly loved who i could start a family with. We had all the people we loved together at a beautiful reception to celebrate a beautiful moment in our lives. I do not regret a single thing.
Every little girl dreams of going to Europe when they grow up, and that is exactly what I did for my honeymoon. Experiencing the new cultures and romance in the cities of Rome, Paris and the Mediterranean with the man I loved was indescribable. I would go back to that vacation in a heartbeat.
Motherhood was something that made me feel complete. Teaching made me feel like I had a purpose in life but this was something else. I got the warmest feeling seeing my child with a chocolate covered face.. I fell in love with all of them the second they were born.
One thing i worked hard for was to be able to give my family a home. I did not want a house, i wanted a home full of love. My husband and i worked hard to have the house of our dreams. It took a lot fo work but we felt a sense of accomplishment when everything was done and finished.
i wanted to make incredible memories with them. I wanted them to experience an incredible holiday. I wanted them to see the Rockets! To see the floats! To see the beginning of christmas! | The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was part of my childhood and I wanted it to be a part of my children's childhood. However i wanted to take it a step further.
One of my favorite memories with the kids is going to Disney World, and not only that is was during Christmas | They smiled the entire time and giggled the whole way through the vacation. It made the whole family happy. It is one of our favorite family memories
