1: In July, 2009 Mike, Val, Stephen, Bradley and Patrick all flew to Nova Scotia for a Chiasson Family Reunion. Stephen and Bradley only stayed one week but Mike, Val and Patrick traveled to Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick after the reunion.
2: We spent our first night in Nova Scotia at a Holiday Inn close to the airport as we arrived late Sunday night. Monday morning we woke up to thick fog and we headed one hour down the road to Halifax.
3: We drove through Halifax and headed to Peggy's Cove. On the way we stopped at the memorial for the Swissair Flight 111 that crashed off the coast of Nova Scotia on September 2, 1998 . A recovery centre was set up at Peggy's cove.
4: We spent the next few hours at Peggy's Cove. Unfortunate the lighthouse was being painted so was covered with scaffolding. We still enjoyed the waves crashing up on the rocks. The boys posed for this photo and almost got soaked as the waves kept rising higher all the time. Stephen was excited to find the survey marker pounded in the rocks from when the area was first surveyed. | PEGGY'S COVE
