June 6, 2011 Today we left Cleveland airport at 6:30AM. We flew into Dallas and than to Maui. A very long day of traveling but very worth it!
We made it to Maui 9:30PM Ohio time. Our first stop was Wal-Mart to buy drinks and a blanket. Last we took our 30 minute drive to Ka'anapali Beach Hotel!
Tuesday, June 7 We woke up super early at 5:30 AM ready to start the day. We took off driving to find blow holes, beaches, and natural pools. We drove to Napili, Kapalua, Kahana, and Kahakuloa to find beautiful landmarks.
"It's a beautiful day, don't let it get away."
We went to Ritz Carlton Hotel and walked along the golf course to find Dragons Teeth. Very beautiful!
After visiting Dragons teeth we drove down very curvy roads to Kahakuloa Head, Nakalele Blowhole, Bellstone and the Olivine Pools. Some of these places involved some hiking to get to them.
At mushroom rock we spent a lot of time watching the ocean's fury. At this point in the island the air is as clean as air can get with crystal blue skies. A place I could spend hours.
These two pages are Olivine pools and the blow hole that was not blowing on this morning. Every sight was beautiful! We enjoyed our morning!
 Lei Making
Watching the Sunset | After our first fun-filled day, we walked to Whalers Village to eat at the Hula Grill. We sat outside and watched the sunset. Perfect way to end a beautiful day!
June 8, 2011 Lei Making at our Hotel!
One of my favorite things about our Hotel is that we can take Hawaiian classes to learn about their culture.

As the sun begins to set each night, a young cliff diver honors his heritage by running through the sand on Kaanapali Beach. The echo of the conch shell announces his arrival. He climbs his way up the Black Rock and lights the torches. When he reaches the summit, he offers his torch to the ocean below, casts his flower lei into the sea; and finally takes the breathtaking dive from the Black Rock into the rolling surf below!
Our last night in Maui! Enjoyed a beautiful Maui sunset and dinner at Leilani's. Topped off with shopping and a piece of Hula Pie!

Stuck in Honolulu for the night!
June 13, 2011 Our plane was diverted to Honolulu due to plane problems. We had 7 hours to kill so we visited Pearl Harbor!
Maui 2011 We have been to Hawaii the past 3 years, but there is no better place to visit. This is the one week out of the year that I can spend with Bryan.. We can do what we want and there are no places or deadlines you have to meet.. We are very fortunate that we got to spend our 11th anniversary in Maui. It truly is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. You have the beautiful beaches, mountains and rain forest to visit all in one place. The view of the other islands is also a beauty of this island. Every night we have door open and can hear the waves crash against the shore. In the morning I can lay in bed and see the ocean. Our vacation was fantastic and I can not wait to visit again!!!
