BC: Zhukov as in Gregory Zhukov who was a Russian general in the War.

1: A is for Anne Frank, who was a young Jewish girl taken to a concentration camp

2: B is for Blitzkrieg which is German for "Lightning War."

3: C is for Concentration Camps, which are the camps where Jews were sent to either work or be killed.

4: D is for death camps, where Jews were killed

5: E is for European Recovery Program, also known as Marshall Plan to rebuild the economy.

6: F is for Four Freedoms, which is the name President Roosevelt gave to the four general freedoms of the United States.

7: G is for Germany, which is the country that started most of the issues concerning the war.

8: H is for Holocaust, which was Hitler's plan for an Third Reich, which meant killing Jews.

9: I is for invasion, because Germany invading Poland was one of the major events that lead up to the start of the war.

10: J is for Juno Beach, which is where some of the D-Day fighting took place.

11: K is for Kamikaze which was a Japanese suicide pilot or plane that was involved in the war.

12: L is for Lidice which was a place Czechoslovakia that was bombed during the war.

13: M is for Maquis, which was the name given to the guerrilla fighters that were underground.

14: N is for Normandy, which is the country where the D-Day battle took place.

15: O is for Omaha, as in one of the Beaches in Normandy where some of the D-Day fighting happened.

16: P is for Pearl Harbor, which is where the Japanese bombed the United States during the war.

17: Q is for queasy, which is how most all of the soldiers that made it through the war describe their feeling throughout the whole war.

18: R is for Roosevelt, who was President of the United States throughout the war.

19: S is for Stalin, who influenced a lot of the war.

20: T is for Tokyo, which is where the US bombed after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.

21: U is for uniforms, which obviously all of the soldiers involved in the war had to wear.

22: V is for the victory that the Allied Powers found.

23: W is for World War II, which is what this whole book is about!

24: X is for X-Ray because x-ray unites were obviously used a lot in the hospitals that were near various battle sites.

25: Y is for yellow star, as in the Star of David that the Jewish people had to wear on their arms.
