FC: CVII Mission Trip Bogota, Colombia June 2-11, 2011 | God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you helped His people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:10
1: Flew with Delta. Flight left MSP airport at 11:30 am with a connecting flight in Atlanta. Destination..Bogota, Colombia at 8:44 pm | Our kitchen, enough room for 3 people. I ate "snot fruit"
2: First morning spent sorting,counting pills, and loading truck | Then set up clinic at Numbers house. Seen the kids from CVII
3: 3 1/2 hour drive to Granada. Temps ranged from 60s in Bogota to upper 80s in Granada and humid. Flooding affecting whole community
4: Pharmacy....everyone went home with 30 day supply of vitamins and a dewormer. | Granada
5: Memories and friendships made... Slept in Villaviencio at the "club" Tile floor under a pavillion With monkeys and parrots near by...
6: Only in Colombia. Soup for breakfast police escorts... | Villavicencio also very humid and hot after a night of camping..
8: Up at 4am to get to Air Force base. Flew in Hercules C-130 to Puerto Salgar. 25 min. flight otherwise 6 hr drive | Very hot and humid day. Air Force very hospitable and served us smoothies, water, and lunch during day.
9: There was a lot of media coverage on this day | Dr. Mike and Gina taking a quick break | A couple of the Air Force gents that helped us | Seen around 1200 people in Puerto Salgar
10: Burger night with children from Genesis house | Miguel, Paula, and Karol
11: Madrid...winter time in Colombia People wore many layers | A lot of respiratory complaints. Pollution and moist conditions
12: Lois and I trying to avoid the fumes from the traffic...awful | Fuquene was a hard working farming community. Many sad people
13: We got to stop at a roadside cafe for strawberries and cream
14: Despite the flooding and devastation... Beautiful countryside.

16: Took gondola up to top of mountain ,Monserrate. Aerial view of Bogota was breath-taking
17: Last day before we leave. Quickest 10 days ever. | David and I at base of Monserrate. So glad we could experience all of this together..
18: Gated entry...locked in or locked out | Bethel living area | 29 people...1 house...3 bathrooms...many bunks..priceless
